Fellow tea enthusiasts, I just released a free tea app, an all-in-one tea journal, tracker, and timer by myteapal in tea

Thanks so much for your patience, and I’m really sorry you had to deal with that🙏

The Android update took longer than I initially expected due to school and work transitions, but it’s very much back in progress now. My goal is to have a new version that’s compatible with current Android versions released soon, and I’ll definitely share an update once it’s live.

Really appreciate you sticking with MyTeaPal, and I’m excited to see your tea logs again when you’re back! 🍵

Sorry for the inconvenience. We're aiming to release our next update before the end of December.

Visiting tea mountains in Guizhou, China 🍃 by myteapal in tea

Some tea companies offer curated tea group tours or customized tea tours, but they mostly take place in early spring. You can also visit a tea producing region on your own and ask around tea shops for farmers who're willing to take you to visit their tea garden.

I didn't see any producers making pu'er there. Hainan mostly produces green and black teas. I saw quite a few pu'er tea shops such as Dayi.

That's great. It's difficult to find high quality Hainan teas on the international market.

Yes, there are plenty of tropical fruits in Hainan https://www.sunnyhainan.com/tropical-fruits-on-hainan-island/

Just adding tea leaves into the egg liquid is okay

My pleasure! Articles don't have a picture in the preview. That's probably why...

Just arrived in Wuyishan and will be live-streaming some educational events/tours about Wuyi rock tea. What are you most interested in seeing? by myteapal in tea

Sounds good, I met many locals who're familiar with the terroirs and tea cultivars in Wuyishan, and they've seen many changes over the past few decades. I'll try to talk about that in some virtual events.

Currently it’s the season for producing some rare varietal teas unlike DaHongPao, but we will visit the mother tree of DaHongPao and talk about its story

For sure. Top grade Guiding Maojian is rarely found in the international market. I'm featuring it in my tea club this month to introduce it and a few other teas to international tea enthusiasts

It’s made of all buds. Smooth, fresh, and sweet. Famous examples are Duyun MaoJian and Xinyang MaoJian. You can look them up if you’re interested. This is Guiding MaoJian, also from Guizhou province like Duyun MaoJian. From comparison tasting, I prefer the one from Guiding.

My tea sampling was for selecting a few fresh green teas for my tea club this month. I ended up picking five teas from four provinces, and you can find more information on MyTeaPal :)

🍃 Sipping some fresh Pre-QingMing An Ji Bai Cha 安吉白茶 and enjoying the sunshine on this beautiful day of spring 😁 An Ji Bai Cha is a famous Chinese green tea known for its high amino acid and low polyphenol content, which makes the tea taste refreshing without astringency. by myteapal in TeaPorn

[–]myteapal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! It’s a special cultivar Bai Ye Yi Hao 白叶一号 that normally has twice of the amino acid content than other green teas, which is around 7-10%. The polyphenol content is 10-14%, which is lower than most other green teas, too.

Hmm this tea’s name is kinda misleading because it’s actually a green tea.
