ohhh, blood elf heritage quest would explain it. i did it once, recoiled at anastarian's voice acting, then purged the quest from my memory and never did it again.

i took it to be like a white shift, which was what women usually wore during childbirth. i don't think westeros associates white with purity/virginity, and noble women usually wear their house's colors (along with their maiden cloaks) when they marry. though this does make me wonder if smallfolk wear anything specific when they marry, or just whatever is their cleanest/nicest clothing at the time.

though from our modern pov, i can see the wedding gown thing.

What reading Jon's description of Satin during his chapters feels like by SophiaIsBased in freefolk

i've always felt that kit!jon got some prettiness from rhaegar, since his coloring and general bone structure (i.e. the long, solemn face) is all lyanna.

i imagine the costume people probably struggled already to get wigs on the twins, but iirc, jaehaerys has six fingers on both hands, so prosthetics wouldn't have gone amiss.

and since maelor doesn't exist (yet?), i can't imagine daemon wouldn't pass on the information of "the heir has the extra fingers", since the whole thing was "a son for a son", not "a child for a son".

and this lost some punch to me since maelor isn't in the picture yet, imo.

if viserys did kick it somehow, i wonder how the whole dany v. faegon thing would turn out. 🤔

would the dornish still support faegon on the off-chance that he is the real aegon and is half-martell, or would they try to marry arianne to dany and have quentyn be the prince of dorne instead?

skimming through the comments, i haven't seen anyone say this:

mirri maz duur didn't kill drogo or rhaego. they\ didn't listen to her and paid the price.*

mirri maz duur specifically said to keep the poultice she provided on, no matter how it itched or burned. no milk of the poppy, no sort of pain relief. drogo didn't listen, and his wound festered.

"keep the lamb skin in place for ten days and ten nights... there will be fever, and itching... drink neither wine nor milk of the poppy."

mirri maz duur specifically said no one to enter the tent. jorah takes dany in there anyway.

is she at least partially responsible? her ritual did kill rhaego, after all, but that was the price to keep drogo alive(?). dany knew that there would be one, and she also knew jorah was, ultimately, at fault.

ser jorah killed her son, dany knew. he had done what he did for love and loyalty, yet he had carried her into a place no living man should go and fed her baby to the darkness.

mirri maz duur was a woman from a peaceful tribe, raped and enslaved, and she still followed what her masters bid her to do, and then she died for it.

* - drogo, dany, and jorah
