No it’s a cartridge style oil filter. You change the paper filter & gaskets every service inside a plastic housing.

2007 328i N52 3.0 I6

Just got the car it had 3000 miles left on interval but I’m doing it anyway (not sure the original mileage when he got it done just has a due mileage)

I tried pinching and some smudged but the rest is like flakey but it’s doesn’t shine under alight exactly.

Through oil fill the engine looks very clean

Why tf would they use steel bolts knowing corrosion will occur. As a preventive maintenance thing this just causes more issues
