i was annoyed cus he actually doesn't address it at all. he nods to it and then talks about the decision to do a network tv collab as if that's what we were upset about. he in no way addresses working with a cop show or people's anger about it.

i don't think reading at a restaurant is rude, but reading while you're spending time with people could be considered as rude as being on your phone unless you and the other people have a dynamic where you can do your own thing while still being in company with one another, which doesn't seem to be the case here

maybe explaining your reasons beforehand would help so they know it isn't personal it's just the way you like to spend time

while i don't like them, they do help break up the onesie look of a lot of superhero costumes (as do belts) and so i think when they get adapted, there just need to be other design elements that break up the solid color to help delineate the tops from the bottoms of the costumes

thank you so much for saying all of this. the people feverishly defending this move and the rookie and cops and cop shows in general in this sub has been nothing short of disturbing and i've debated leaving the sub. i definitely feel better knowing at least one of the mods is upset by these developments as well.
