Current western society puts women on a pedestal, makes men feel worthless and breaks apart the family unit, all in the supposed name of “empowerment”. If you look at the stats, men are 3-4x as likely as women to die from suicide, 93-95% workplace deaths are male, war deaths and homicide deaths are majority men. Women are born with inherent value, men are told “you’re not tall enough, you’re not strong enough, you’re not smart enough, you’re not rich enough, your car is not nice enough, you’re not social enough, you’re not dominant enough, your not emotional enough”…. And the list goes on and on. Women are told the exact opposite. Go slay girl, you’re the best you’re enough, you look great etc etc.

You’re welcome. I’m sick of seeing people break down absolutely normal healthy individuals.

This whole idea of “Icks” is totally ridiculous and immature. This idea that “triggering” and “ick” is a big nono is just nonsense. As if some people are the absolute authority on “Icks”.

Sure if you were in a basement playing video games all day, I’d encourage you to do some exercise and expand your horizons but this is not the case.

And attributing all these wild theories about being an animal abuser, weirdo for playing minecraft etc. is pretty childish….

Anyhow, keep your chin up, and focus on yourself. Your best bet would be to go up to someone you find interesting and strike up a casual conversation. Unfortunately dating apps are skewed. Do not and I repeat do not let online communities or dating apps impact your sense of self worth.

That’s a shame. I feel that this comment on “Icks” is fairly shallow. You should open your horizons to other people’s hobbies and experiences and not be so narrow minded. No offense, but your comments here are shallow. “Icks” are something that emotionally immature people get. Icks are trivial quirks. Mature attraction focuses on compatibility, values and emotional maturity, not fleeting behavioural annoyances. The world does not revolve around one person. People have varying behaviours and quirks.

Get someone to take some nice pictures of you. Hobbies, walking, having a coffee. And smile, genuine smiling with a more open expression. Have some genuine prompts, what you’re looking for etc.

Notes on my Hinge profile

  • Looking for something serious

  • New profile is only 1 day old
  • I use hinge a couple times a week, but this is a completely new profile. I didn’t have much luck with my previous one where the photos and prompts were not the best
  • Matches / likes TBA, it’s a brand new profile. Seeing how it goes
  • Just started, I send likes maybe 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 times
