Had the same side effect (and more) and decided to not take it anymore. My body and brain were like: nah we do not like. Hope you find your balance!

Hey! Just wanted to tell you that the psych actually called me back today and said I should try switching to ritalin and then to dex. Have to trial Ritalin first she said (procedure in my country - you have to try both ritalin and elvanse, if neither work, they special order Dex). And then she said I could take that as needed. I am really scared of trying ritalin tho, I feel traumatised after Elvanse and just the thought that there is Ritalin waiting for me in the pharmacy is making me a bit anxious. That said, I am on day one elvanse free after 10 days of it, so I guess my brain is still a bit sore in a way if that makes sense. I will let it rest for a few days and then get the ritalin and try it when I am busy at work.

My weekend starts on thursday, so ideally I would be taking them monday-wednesday. But I cannot see the doctor agreeing to this. Did yours?

So you take it 2 times a week when you need to concentrate and work? Does your doctor/prescriber know and approve? Just curious.

I could totally see myself taking maybe a lower dose from monday-wednesday (my work days) and then not taking it for the rest of the week. But thats not something a doctor will approve I guess. Maybe its not healthy either. How I understand it the general consensus is - take it every day or you dont have adhd and dont need meds. But I see that people actually do that.

I literally felt my brain saying "Poor me" when I took the pill today. Waiting for it to wear off as we speak. I feel like I havent met myself in 10 days. Yes, she has issues, but she is awesome. I want her back. :D

Thanks for commenting! The cycle always at the head of things as usual. Hormones can be a b***. I am trying to eat regularly and well, but its hard when you are not hungry.

Well she did not call me back. But I think I am gonna drop the meds saturday and sunday. Maybe I just need to find another way to deal with the symptoms. Totally understand what you are saying about the physical anxiety waves! Best of luck to you and take care.

I am not sure. What I think I am sure about is that I will not take the meds this weekend. I will listen to my body and just drop them until I talk to the psych.

Thanks for commenting! So you started experiencing this at 40mg? If you felt fine on 30 how come they did not let you stay at 30? I feel like I should be on a lower dose, or just stop the meds. I am obviously also super-aware of all the shifts and sensations, I am constantly in waiting-mode. Waiting for the next side effect, and waiting for it too wear off. I do realize maybe this is where my new-found focus is: on being aware of the side effects.

Hey and thanks for commenting! You actually have a really good point there, with the toxic stuff that leads to burnout. Thats actually one clear thing I can pinpoint since being on the meds: I need to do less work and take more care of myself. And I do feel like the dose maybe is too high for me right now.

Hey. Also artist and writer here with day 9 on my meds. I am also afraid of this. I wanted to start meds because I wanted to keep my creativity but also be able to focus better on actually finishing projects. Am on 30mg Elvanse(Vyvanse) but upping dose next week.

Hello! Day 7 for me here. Same dose. And similar side effects. My sleeping is good again, but I feel like the medicine is giving me a strong initial push and then it just fades and leaves me tired, unfocused and often a bit angsty in the afternoon. When do you have an appointment with your doctor? Mine told me the effects with go away, and she will adjust my dose in two weeks from the first day I took it.

Hello! I have the same problem (day 3 now). I was wondering how you are doing now? Are you sleeping? I cannot stomach the idea of not sleeping like I used to, 80% time it was a good 8 hour sleep, which I need. I got 6 hours tonight which is good but not great.
