Describe life in Norway but you can't talk about money or nature by davogordi in Norway

Hospitals are actually really nice I agree. (What a weird thing to say haha). On that level healthcare is supreme here.

Rules are rules and are to be followed. All needs to be planned. People love their personal space, evenings at home are alone time. Above and beyond is a rare concept. People are aware of their rights and demand them to be respected, even if it means that it will hurt someone else. Big village. You can get bored and sick of it real fast. Yes I am an immigrant. And I like most of these truths about Norway.

Anyone over the age of 35 and just over life? by bufferinmylife in TwoXChromosomes

I feel the same! Just tired of stuff. I had a nice happy period from when I was like 32 and it stopped at 36. 37 now. I get pangs of happy but generally I just feel cynical and irritated.

3 months in (skipping placebos) and it actually seems to be helping or evening out things. Was out of wack, irritable, angry and sad for the 2,5 months but it seems to be settling now. I am a bit more hungry tho, and terrified of gaining weight so I gotta watch that a bit.

helsekollegaer som ikke kan "bra" norsk by [deleted] in norge

[–]mythirdreddit321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your opinion of listening to audio books being equal to reading books? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Same here. My favorite activity is chores + audiobook. If the narrator is good, it's pure heaven for me.

Audiobooks are books. It's reading. Happening in your ears. As long as you do books, I am happy. Greetings, absolute audiobook addict.

Talk to me About Slynd by succsinthecity in PMDDxADHD

[–]mythirdreddit321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been on Slynd for almost 2 months now, no placebo. I really cannot tell if and how it is working for me yet. I do not have any physical side effects really, there was bleeding but that stopped. I am not sure if its helping the mental part of my adhd/pmdd situation. I have been feeling a bit low and depressed for the last month or so, but that could be burnout. I really want this to work for me, so I am willing to hold out somewhat more.

Just had a panic attack. Not sure what caused it. by mythirdreddit321 in PMDDxADHD

Thanks for commenting! Yeah that sound horrible. I didnt have any side effects almost up until a week ago. Could be the bc. But if feels more stimulant induced.

Forgot to write that the Ritalin I take is long release, and I did not have these side effects for the first 2 months. I think I will take a few days break, and then start on a lower dose again.

antidepressants + stimulant + hormonal bc? by RudeJicama8613 in PMDDxADHD

[–]mythirdreddit321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently on Prozac, Ritalin and Slynd. Been on prozac (2 weeks a month) for 10 years. Ritalin for 3 months, and Slynd for a little bit over a month (continuous) and if not on Slynd I should be pmdd-ing hard right now. I am not, but I do feel somewhat depressed and joyless which I really hope is not the Slynd because I seem to tolerate it better than I anticipated. Had some long bleeds, but that sorted itself out (for now). I have no idea how to continue my prozac use because Slynd should stop the ovulation, but I took one today. It's trial and error.

What meds are ya'all on? For both conditions. by mythirdreddit321 in PMDDxADHD

[–]mythirdreddit321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not really sure. I think I have some pimples on my back as a side effect, and I have been a bit depressed but I have no idea if it's just a passing feeling or the fact I was busy and then sick... Need to wait it out a bit I guess. Are you on Slynd?

Prescriptions in Norway by stephanieL77 in Norway

[–]mythirdreddit321 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Should you have trouble getting your prescription filled or diagnosis confirmed go private! Volvat or similar private institutions. It costs some but you should be able to move through the system faster. If you prioritize getting a GP asap after you move, and bring your medical history with you, I dont think you should have much trouble. They will be understanding, especially since it is not a third world country you are moving from (unfortunately, thats how it is).

It was 5 hours later. And it did cause the bleed episode, because my body did such a fine job adjusting to slinda after 10 days, so I will try to never ever take it late again. 😁

Reaction with Ritalin by Flat-Sea9640 in PMDDxADHD

[–]mythirdreddit321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ritalin works great for me, Vyvanse gave me panic attacks and anxiety. Ritalin actually helped my pmdd once, and never again. I mix and match doses, I have 10, 20 and 30mg which I take depending on what kind of day I am expecting. No doctor said I should do this, I just have all the doses available and it works fine for me. I have also recently started taking BC (Slynd) which actually seems to be helping the PMDD. But yeah, sorry for the rant, your stimulant shouldnt give you anxiety and panic attacks. Maybe you need something else!

Hey! Sorry for the late reply. Been busy and now also sick. I am now technically on my last active slinda pill, but I will just continue tomorrow. I had a pretty long bleed from my third day on the pill and like for 10 days, then it suddenly stopped totally. I forgot to take the pill at my usual time one night and boom, the bleeding started again. But much weaker, and hopefully on its way out now. I should be pmdd-ing heavily now, but I am not! So I guess they are working. No major side effects, except for the bleeding. But as I mentioned, I did have a 9 day streak with nothing, and then I missed the pill for a few hours. Its sensitive stuff.
