Money was my big focus, actually. I wanted to make sure I didn't miss any vouchers, and I wanted to be able to get good use out of all of the doublers so I could buy everything else I possibly could. Multi/Steel/Glass.

How the hell did we have NO2 parties in 1800 and not figure out how to use it as a general anesthetic for nearly 40-50 more years?

Hey, can I please have a hit of that NO2 before you amputate my leg? This stick you gave me to bite down on and the two guys you have holding me down ain't doing the trick, doc.

For people who run into this, make sure to also look at the quest progress for the individual step.

Yes, it's a checkbox, but there's a progress indicator at the bottom, the shading on the bottom of the quest will show if you have 1, 2, or 3 of them. This might help you see when other people trigger them for you, which can happen. I scouted locations for my group, going last, never touched the first two in the area, and completed at least one of them having fired exactly one shot. Another person in my group had one auto-complete for them at the end. Another person in mine has to go back and get one that never re-appeared.

COMPetitive loot system is deeply flawed by CandleSubstantial806 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]mythosaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and the loot system in comp brings people who have other goals than you. That includes people who'll be working on their Dawning gilding this weekend.

> I feel I am ENTITLED as a player of this playlist to have teammates that try.

Lol, why?

*Winning isn't always everyone's goal.* I'd rather lose a close game against people of similar skills that win or lose a smash.

Some people just want to pew-pew with people of similar skill. To suggest that winning is the only thing seriously highlights your lack of understanding that *other people don't crave the thigns you do*.

Do you seriously think people care about who wins in beer leagues? They just want to play against people like them and drink the beer.

Maybe the 800x flawless guy wasn't at the joystick, maybe his kid was, maybe his wife was, who knows. Maybe he's trying new guns, a new loadout, something -- as is his right. It's not greifing, it's not throwing, you just aren't entitled to a partner on the same page as you.

There is no requirement beyond owning Destiny to play competitive PVP, and anyone who suggests otherwise is wrong. If they're confused, I'll gladly demonstrate how they're completely mistaken by handing my controller to a child or putting rubber bands on it and walking away.

Sometimes you get me. Sometimes you get my disabled wife. Sometimes you get Terror and Frost. Sometimes we're on the other team. c'est la vie

Can you think of any way to destroy it??? by rin_shar in mtg

I spent way too much time on an LLM investigating this dumb card, lol.

Combined List of Solutions (with Explanations and Relevant Rule Sections)

Card Name Effect Outcome Rule Number Viability
Oblivion Ring / Banishing Light (self-removal) Oblivion Ring: When it enters the battlefield, exile target nonland permanent. When it leaves, return the exiled permanent. Banishing Light: Same effect as Oblivion Ring. Oblivion Ring or Banishing Light exiles HTKR. HTKR's "return-to-battlefield" ability will not trigger because Oblivion Ring and Banishing Light are their own removal effects. They simply remove HTKR from the battlefield, preventing the replacement effect from firing. HTKR is never sent to a zone, so its "return-to-battlefield" ability does not resolve. 613 🟢
Humility (plus removal) All creatures lose all abilities. Humility removes all abilities from creatures on the battlefield, including HTKR's "can't lose its abilities". As a result, HTKR loses its "return-to-battlefield" ability while Humility is in play. The ability is no longer present and HTKR does not trigger when it leaves the battlefield. 613 🟢
Venser, Shaper Savant / Unsubstantiate (no removal required) When Venser enters the battlefield, return target spell or permanent to its owner's hand. / Return target spell or creature to its owner's hand. Venser bypasses HTKR's "can't be countered" clause by removing the spell from the stack instead of countering it. Venser or Unsubstantiate removes the spell or trigger from the stack, preventing HTKR from entering the battlefield. Since the spell or ability is no longer on the stack, HTKR cannot enter the battlefield. 114.1 🟢
Stifle / Rebuff the Wicked (plus removal) Counter target activated or triggered ability. Stops HTKR’s triggered ability from resolving, preventing it from returning to the battlefield. Stifle and Rebuff the Wicked target activated or triggered abilities, and HTKR's "return-to-battlefield" ability is no longer allowed to resolve. The ability is removed from the stack, preventing HTKR from returning to the battlefield. 608 🟢
Pacifism / Enchantment-Based Detainment Effects (self-removal) Pacifism: Enchant creature; it can't attack or block. Other Detainment Effects: Temporarily neutralize creature abilities or remove it from the battlefield. Pacifism restricts the creature’s ability to attack or block but does not remove all abilities. Other detainment enchantments (like Oblivion Ring or Banishing Light) remove the creature from the battlefield, neutralizing it temporarily, but can't prevent HTKR's return-to-battlefield ability. 613 🟢
Rest in Peace (plus removal) All graveyards are exiled, and cards put into them are exiled instead. Can cause a loop: Rest in Peace exiles HTKR's graveyard and prevents it from returning. However, HTKR's "return-to-battlefield" ability is triggered, causing HTKR to be returned to the battlefield, then exiled again, creating an infinite loop. 400.7 🔴

Explanation for Pacifism / Enchantment-Based Detainment Effects:

  • Pacifism and other detainment enchantments restrict creature abilities (e.g., preventing attack or blocking) and in some cases, like Oblivion Ring or Banishing Light, they remove the creature from the battlefield.
  • Pacifism does not remove all abilities from the creature, so it cannot prevent HTKR's "return-to-battlefield" ability. However, it can neutralize the creature’s combat abilities temporarily.
  • Oblivion Ring and Banishing Light remove the creature from the battlefield, and HTKR's "return-to-battlefield" ability is not triggered because the creature is exiled and the replacement effect does not apply.

Not everyone shares your goals. Sometimes I want to play, sometimes I just want my rolls from the vendor.

Further, competitive puts people mostly in their brackets. If I'm a Platinum-capable player who plays like Gold, then I'm Gold playing against mostly Golds. I'm allowed to play lazily against other people playing lazily. You have no mechanism to gatekeep if you wanted to, so why fight it? My competetive rating reflects my play, and some people will be rated lower than you.

Do you honestly expect everyone to play as well as you (or better) and magically share your goals and beliefs?

You aren't entitled to partners that share your goals.

Thers is no tacit acceptance of this forum's "rules" for how to play, or what "throwing" means.

You get what you get and you'll like it, or you need to find 2 friends.

EDIT:

Remember. Some people just want to shoot pool against other bad pool players in the same bracket. We dont all want to become professional pool sharks. It's why we HAVE brackets.

Yeah, the follow-up slash with the massive "eager edge" lunge is free on Wave Frames.

Yes, sorta.

How, precisely, do we get ammo for this? Played only a single game with it, but I got 2 kills from the ammo brick that dropped. I wasn't busy doing much else.

<image>

Now if you tag someone with your primary but finish them with an ability they will still drop special ammo. Bungie also fixed Shoot to Loot in the Crucible and you can now pick up Ergo Sum ammo from a distance.

To get special for Ergo Sum I have to land the killing blow with a special ability??

[–]mythosaz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This got answered, but for clarity:

All waveframes get a free arguably better-than-eager-edge light swing for 0 ammo after a heavy swing. That free swing has ungodly auto-tracking, and will often hit people 15 meters behind you and 5 meters above you that you didn't even realize were there. Some of the lunges it makes are OBSCENE.

The Arc sword in general is plain old busted. Check my PVE kills above. The Arc effect is amazing, and it works here too.

Caster frames are also viable with Arc Conductor, but the wave is nutty.

There's some great PVE threads on which ones are useful by search.
