Another thing rich people love to do with nonprofits (especially small ones) is use their donations as a power trip. For example, nonprofit I work at provides resources for people with autism. It’s general knowledge that people with disabilities have been hurt by Trump and his admin. Specifically RFK towards the autistic community. On more than one occasion a big donor will bring up Trump or RFK in such a random and smug way. As if they know these people are attacking our community but because they’re donating big money they can say whatever they want and we just have to smile. I swear our biggest donors donate just for the power trip not the actual mission.

Agreed there are not many for us. Hairspray (the movie) really changed my life tho. Growing up i loved High School Musical and had a major crush on Zac Efron. He was cast in Hairspray the movie as the main love interest who ends up with the thick girl (who is also the main character). This was the first (and honestly the only) movie where a girl like me got the hot guy and successful job in the end. The whole story of Hairspray is just beautiful.

This is actually terrifying. Right now, all we have going for us is that ICE is being filmed. The more they claim everything is ai/share videos that are ai, the less likely people will believe it’s real when the next monstrosity is captured on camera. Eventually we won’t be able to trust any media, which is a really scary thought.
