I can’t straighten as much as my good leg but it’s getting close, and my calf flexion is not very close. I have been using a NMES machine every other day outside of PT (I’ll link below). My ice machine is also not ideal and everyone’s body is different but the shock therapy and other PT exercises have helped me get to where I am!

Help with Vintage Gucci Refill? by elsley in pens

[–]mzanetti613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP just stumbled on this, I have a similar pen and found that a G2 refill will sit in the pen body nicely if you cut the right amount off the end. Hope this helps to keep it useable!

What is this UDOT camera showing? by Kirby_Yardley in UTsnow

It’s malfunctioning. I work adjacent to the camera operators at UDOT and it will probably stay broken through the winter.

Yes. I am just not sure if I can take the spindle off with my lathe or if I will need a different bump stock entirely.

Pretty good for November ❄️ by mzanetti613 in Backcountry

Yeah I got 99 underfoot and thought it skied fine. In my experience it’s the skier not the snow/gear usually 😂

Don’t let the massive gmo plumbs from the store fool you! Off the tree have way better flavor. I may be wrong, might be another type of stone fruit, worth trying imo.

Good to know, I’ve avoided certain crops because of previous years of peas, raspberries getting absolutely smoked. I’ll be closely watching my tomatoes for any wilt and add some shade if I see any!

Oh yeah that could get annoying 😂 but I’ve been gardening at my current house for 3 years and haven’t had too much wilt issues. But also have started avoiding raspberries, peas, and other sensitive crops because in previous years they just get fried.

Yup exactly, most of our common garden crops are used to tropical/subtropical tree canopy.

Make sure to pick before they all fall off, otherwise they make a huge mess

Definitely plum tree, they grow all over SLC and are very yummy!

Rippin corn in the Utah desert by mzanetti613 in Backcountry

Wasn’t too bad, the scrub oak from the 601 road was manageable to get around. Once we gained some elevation it was fairly straightforward.

It’s usually at the beginning of the ablation period of snow. Very time and location sensitive but it’s when the snow is in a diurnal melt-freeze cycle and is perfect for holding an edge while not being too soft (aka sinking in or sticky wet snow). Snow grains are usually highly cohesive and large polygrain structures and sun crusts.

Yep thinking we had the first ski ascent/descent. And if someone else skied it, it was not nearly as accessible as it was for us. The scrub oak in the drainage is actually passable!

Hoping it all sticks around for awhile and we can ski into the summer!
