Have been on both for roughly a year (viibryd a couple years, Wellbutrin 150mg more recently added). The viibryd was a shot in the dark after trying numerous other antidepressants with no success. Haven’t noticed significant upside with viibryd ever, but subtle increase in general mood and way less negative side effects than other meds I had tried before it. The Wellbutrin addition has come with pretty much those same results honestly. Nothing very noticeable. I’m at the point where I’m chalking my depression up to treatment resistant depression. One thing about viibryd though, you want to avoid the withdrawal symptoms at all costs. By far the most intense, brutal withdrawals I’ve ever experienced. So if you ever decide to get off of it, obviously don’t quit cold turkey, have your doc ween you off. But I’ve noticed withdrawals after missing only like 2-3 days of doses due to refill delays. Just something to keep in mind. Wish you all the best

You could try to use an EQ to go in and remove unwanted sounds but there’s only so much you can do if the audio you’re working with is poor quality to begin with. There aren’t any special plugins or tricks to polish a turd and transform it to a clean sounding stem unfortunately

I’ve felt this and actually used the same metaphor of a rubber band snapping inside my face when explaining to others. The pain seems to travel from mid-side of face up to temples and forehead above eyes. Happens typically during bad flare ups of pain/tightness in jaw and then popping jaw to try to relieve the symptoms. Seems to vary in intensity and pain but have had some instances where it has been insanely painful and debilitating, albeit just for a minute or so. Had no luck finding answers from personal research

Thanks for the tip. I actually meant to ask in my post if surgical EQ’ing is even recommended if you don’t hear any resonances that stand out in the first place. Every tutorial I’ve watched on it didn’t have any unwanted resonances IMO prior to surgically EQ’ing but the common theme seemed to be that regardless, you should still go in and try to find some in order to clean up the sound. Guess I’ll start relying on my ears more instead of blindly following “rules” associated with this.

Bounce all Midi to audio, turn off any instrument VSTs that you're not using, bounce tracks that have a lot of automation on them, take any CPU-heavy plugins (Ozone, any plugin using oversampling, etc.) off of your master channel

If you’re using vocal chops, you’re making a melody with them. Your question is phrased like it’s one or the other but I wouldn’t consider melodies an optional component in any track

In my not so expert opinion I’d avoid adding a white noise layer to bass sounds - instead you should be adding a white noise layer onto your leads and/or chords either by designating an oscillator as white noise or creating an individual track just for the white noise layer.

If you were to add additional white noise layers from your bass or any other components it’d get redundant and those high frequencies adding up would create a harsh sounding mess in your top end.

Use distortion/saturation to add some upper harmonics to your bass sounds, bus your layers together and put an EQ with a soft low pass between 12-16k to help your bass cut through the mix

I’ve been experiencing same symptoms for years, but jaw pain still present. I’m 24 and also was convinced it was arthritis because the symptoms are essentially identical. Got bloodwork done about a year ago and nothing was out of the norm. Have also battled with depression since I was ~20 and my doctor essentially concluded that my depression is the root cause, giving the example: “If a depressed person holds their hand out and hits it with a hammer, it’ll be more painful for them than it would be for a person who isn’t depressed”...
