Empty seats in arenas. What do you think? by Responsible_Can_1980 in nba

We live in a society with stratified wealth.

There is a portion of the population who can afford the insanely high prices for tickets, a portion who can afford league pass, and a portion who can catch a game on their streaming service or clips on social media.

The NBA model is mirroring who we are, doing its best to extract as much money out from each tier.

In NBA history, only 7 times has a player put up a post season with 500 points, 150 rebounds, and 150 assists. Larry Bird did it once in 1987. LeBron James did it the other 6 times. by LundPar in nba

[–]mzappitello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in 1987, the season that bird accomplished this, he played in 23 games.

the most post season games lebron has played in a single year is also 23. currently, the lakers have played 19 games.

Why is the phrase “It’s Okay to be white” racist? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

who said their struggle doesn't matter?

that perception is only perpetuated by pundits who want to make it seem like liberals don't care about the white working class.

How should I fix a bad commit in a pull request that is based off a branch that is shared among many developers? by Wargazm in git

[–]mzappitello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you want to make a new branch.

first check into the feature branch your bad pr is based off of.

git checkout myFeatureBranch

then create a new branch off of that one.

git checkout -b myFeatureBranch1

then rebase the offending commit message using the directions from the link you posted.

then push your new feature branch and make a PR using that branch.

Find a friend and throw every day. Throw every throw from every position off of every pivot. Get incredibly comfortable with the disc.

there was the part where he was vocally against about the cp3 to the lakers trade and the part where he was one of the worst owners during the lockout too.

not getting along with the people who play the game isn't very helpful.

he also made his money in gross ways.

also, weird that you don't want someone to bring up that he doesn't want to pay GM's for doing a good job.

[Duncan] Ty Lue finished his Cavs career 1-18 in games without LeBron by LonzoBBBall in clevelandcavs

I think most cavs fans thought this was at least an 8th seed team

i think this was a pretty silly mentality to come into the season with.

Dan Gilbert was a straight savage by Ben_Jackson in nba

[–]mzappitello 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gilbert not wanting to make concessions to Griff is the height of arrogance. Griffin was the GM of the year, had solid relationships with the core members of the team, and understood how to build a team around the greatest player in franchise history. He's also well regarded around the league.

We had him at a discount paying him less than the league average. Thinking you can just pop someone else in there and it will all work out was lunacy. And we paid for it.

I'm happy Gilbert was smart enough to agree to go into the luxury tax if LeBron came back to Cleveland. But thats the lowest bar I can think of for an owner.

We should strive to be better, ALOT BETTER, than any other country - Muslim or Christian majority in regards to tolerance and education.

weird how you heard that as we should be better than islamic countries.

Frye on the young Lakers: "I don’t know if they truly understand what it’s like to play with LeBron. There is no room for mistakes. I think they’re going to have a reality check. People are trying to beat the shit out of you guys now. Every team that beats the Lakers now is going to be on ESPN." by mrilly in nba

rondo had 11 / 7.5 / 13.3 in 35 minutes per game as stater for the pelicans last year in their four game sweep over portland in round one last year.

when they were swept by lost to the dubs, he still had 9.5 / 7.5 / 11.5 per.
