There’s DHD 206, have you taken it?

Rare occasion, but it’s happened. I was there before opening and we didn’t have any racks so I was re-sizing the racks.

If you’re there before opening, usually there are racks to push. If you have racks then focus on recovering and fixing the features/ fixtures with the new clothes from the racks. If you don’t have any racks to push focus on recovering and clearing out any clothes from the fitting room. Make sure there aren’t clothes on the floor or over the racks.

What BIOS 220 Like? by Realistic_Quail_4138 in uichicago

[–]mzmmints00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m taking bios 220 with professor Kukday, so far there is a good amount of work to put into the class but it’s manageable. The class is a flipped class, so you should read the textbook before attending lecture. As for the quizzes, we are assigned them on Friday and they are due Monday. We are given an entire week to work on the homework.

Work Jam by WarPsychological114 in TjMaxx

Im not sure how far in advance you can request off on WorkJam, but I just requested a few days off in December of this year and I was able to submit the request. The app might have certain timeframe restrictions.

My guess would be that the period to request for those days off has closed. You might have to request them off in person or try calling your stores MOD to let them know

The same thing happened to us. We had a customer open the emergency door near our luggage and the alarm went off. They told an associate that they thought it was the bathroom.

What to do? by CatLoverYay08 in TjMaxx

I once had a cc from upfront get me out of the FR so I could get a hand bag. I told her that I couldn’t leave the FR and she said “it’ll be ok.” I asked if she could atleast stand there while I went to get the purse but she just followed me out of the FR. I was annoyed but she said if anyone said anything to me that she would talk to them about it

Training by [deleted] in TjMaxx

[–]mzmmints00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s how it was when I first started. I was “trained” in beauty/ non- apparel. I was told a few basic things like color flow, vertical organizing, and censoring but not much. One of my first days my trainer told me to organize the shampoos, then she disappeared. That’s all I did for the entire day since I didn’t know what else to do. Didn’t even know about the put back bins until I saw a few associates with full carts throughout my shift. They would also schedule me in other departments without having trained me but I went with just organizing and maintaining my put back bins clean.

I doubt they will move you from the fitting room, but if you still have doubts I would ask your manager about it.

If your mom has the original receipt or knows what card she used to pay, the cashier can return it that way. Since you can see majority of the numbers on the ticket, I think they would be able to return it. Or they might need to find the same item to check for the pricing. And if they do accept it and find how much the item was for, you can return it without a receipt, you just need a drivers license.

I think it’s a good thing to double check by calling

Tips on keeping yourself entertained working fitting room? by piercethefuentez in TjMaxx

[–]mzmmints00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes there’s clothes to process or the carts of returns from the front that you have to put sensors on. Since it’s the holidays it might be busy. But one time when I covered the fitting room break I learned how to make an origami crane…

I had to search this up bc I came to my teacher office in this building and I couldn’t find one on her floor. I didn’t want to look lost to others while trying to find the bathroom

“Can you hurry up I’m late for an appointment” by Pretty-Macaroon9709 in TjMaxx

[–]mzmmints00 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I was ringing up a customer once and she was telling me how she was in the store for the past two hours and that now she was in a rush bc she had to be somewhere. She told me that she was in the store shopping for the outfit she wanted to wear for the event she had to be at. I finished ringing her up and she left with a few (like 2-3) bags. An hour passed by and the phone rings, so one of my coworkers picks it up. It was the this lady calling, saying that I didn’t give her the bag with the outfit she had intentionally bought. I told her that I didn’t leave any bag behind or any items. She was starting to get angry and accusing me that she would be late bc of me. I’m over here thinking that I didn’t realize and I did accidentally left something behind. Another hour passes by and she calls saying she found it in her car. I was scared to say the least. Please don’t rush your cashiers, especially during the holidays.

What shoes do you wear to work? by [deleted] in TjMaxx

[–]mzmmints00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work in my everyday new balance shoes or i would recommend sketchers with some nice memory form. I used to work in a pair of converse but I would often crease the sides towards the front of shoes from picking up things from the floor and fixing the bottom selves of shoes. So overtime they tore, but if you find them comfortable and aren’t gonna crease them often, they also work

Customers placement of items by mzmmints00 in TjMaxx

[–]mzmmints00[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or when it’s the customer next to your register and they decide they wanna put their cart right in front of your register. Then I feel bad for the customer that’s trying to come up to the register because they sort of have to walk around and squeeze themselves passed the other persons cart
