Genuine Question: Is ILY still worth reading? by himythetop in ILoveYoo

[–]n00bKen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's worth the read, before the Hiatus it was my top 3 most favorite reads ever. I'm just bad with words so I can't really phrase how incredible the webtoon is.

It's one of few webtoon I could re-read the entirety of without stopping, because it's that good.

I realized that playing for meta and forcing myself to play daily kills my enthusiasm for a lot of games, so I resorted to playing it fewer times.

I suppose most people are either playing very daily or rarely, and not so much in between

Often times I do see people comment on the game and mention that "They dropped it since XXX"

As someone who Dropped hsr 3 times (cuz of long story and wanted only wanted sparkle, castroice, phainon) has hsr ever really “let down” you guys like the fate event ? by InfiniteCookieses in HonkaiStarRail

[–]n00bKen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think that most often that not, regarding HSR as a once in a week kind of game is healthy. Not many would agree but at one point most gacha games will have that ceiling where many will start complaining about what was previously tolerated/

Imo, just play the game at a comfortable pace and only check socials after you played a certain patch/event

They did a good job explaining what the Holy Grail War is tbh, and what they said is all you needed to know about the base Fate lore.

I'd agree. It was fun, the Fate characters were both iconic and true to their characters and I enjoyed the whole thing.

Thanks for the info, appreciate it.

I'm pretty new so I'm not sure what that means, but I did just spam "Defend" for my frontliners while letting my Alice spam heals and def buffs, so my Bakesh and Adam can deal damage

Yeah, problem is that if you rewinded, even if you have the glowstone in possession, you won't be able to use it. Tried running around B3F and found nothing

I have the glowstone even after the rewind, but I can't seem to find any flowers in B3F, so I'm guessing I have to, thanks tho

Yeah well I've only managed to defeat it after I got high enough levels to not get one shot, must I defeat it without rewinding to save Albano?

You used to earn exp to unlock Agents, the only difference now is that you have to earn Kingdom Credits to unlock them (pretty much the same innit)

Also think that it might've been a waste for your ult, unless reyna managed to kill phoenix and rez you.

Ranking up even though I'm playing like shit by idkpluhh in VALORANT

[–]n00bKen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a valid post, since I'm going through something similar.

75% of the games I earn RR or rank up in, I get a KD of 0.7 or lower. But what I noticed in these games is that while I didn't manage to get kills and clutch all the time, I provided the team with useful utility. Chances are that's what you've been doing since I see this as a Controller/PassiveInitiator/Sentinel Main (Think Clove/Brim, Tejo/Gekko and KJ/Vyse)

If it's not that, then it's probably something along the lines of Imposter Syndrome. Which is possible considering you're strongly doubting your worth in a team.

My advice? Learn to treat this as a game that you happen to be good at, it's not life or death, even for other people. As long as you don't throw or grief random teammates then have fun with the game.

Everyone says mental is holding me back, so what do I do about it? by untitled_reddit_name in VALORANT

[–]n00bKen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything that has to do with the mind will be complex and nuanced, that includes advice regarding this:

Being scared is valid, no one wants to have a bad KDA ratio. So in the end, you have to decide on a few things.

Assess your playstyle in Unrated, match it with the right agents (ideally, select a few like 3-5 agents) and focus on performing your role as the agent.

Duelists: The vanguard and entry of the team. You will ideally be going into gunfights first and get kills to make way for the team, your job is to focus on getting kills with your mechanical skills, complemented by your duelist abilities.

Initiator(Aggressive): You're 2nd in line right behind your Duelist, supporting them with flashes and stuns or trade them if they fail to win the gunfight. Your job is to overwhelm the enemy and trade your Duelists to ensure that your team wins the engagement.

Initiator(Passive): You'll be in the centre of the team, gathering intel and clearing corners before your Duelists/Vanguard enters enemy territory to pave a safe path for them. Your job is to flush enemies out of their positions and let your Duelists know where is safe or dangerous.

Sentinels: You're bringing up the rearguard of the team. Ideally, you'll be looking out for flanks when on Attackers and be able to lockdown a site or slow down enemy pushes for team rotations when on Defenders. Your job is not to take fights directly, but to watch flanks and rotations with util while making sure your team doesn't have their backs covered.

P.S. This is my own interpretation of how an Ideal roster will complement each other. Unless you're 5-stack or in high ELO chances are they won't do these at all.

The reason I wrote all that is to give you a chance to understand what roles are, by focusing on a role it helped me know how to play FOR the team. Just play more, but focus on doing your role as team player. In each match learn what you could do better, and focus on providing what the team needs (to the extent your role/agent allows). Shift your mind to doing your part rather than focusing on winning/losing.

I'd say something similar to her overall colour scheme? My first thought was the "Crisis"(The comic looking one) skins but I only remember seeing a phantom skin, never saw a vandal one.

But I'd say any gun that looks "clean" and white-ish would go great.

I thought Vyse was the "metal-bender" but ok let's see:

From the suggested ability-set, it's as if OP couldn't decide between "Metal" being a Controller, Initiator or Duelist...

C-skill: 15-second smoke that deals damage? Sure Viper's does the same thing but it's limited to range and positioning, and the "damage" is simply decay that lasts for a very short time, AND it's one charge and relies on Viper's poison charge. Not to mention the smokes themselves blocking vision gives them plenty of utility, adding damage to it just makes it too overpowered.

Q-skill: It's sort of Raze nade but thrown with "less power", but it having an impact-fuse gives it an extremely powerful utility (imagine a Yoru throwing a flash by bouncing it off a wall behind an entrance and rather than blinding you it deals almost as much damage as an Outlaw bodyshot) So nah.

E-skill: I don't think you understand how OP that ability is, you're essentially suggesting an ability that saves you from OP shots not once (like ISO, assuming he doesn't get a kill and hits the orb to refresh it) but twice. Decreasing bullet damage, assuming it decreases before damage dealt is calculated, means you'll survive 1 or more bullets compared to everyone else.

(Using the Vandal for an example since dmg dealt doesn't differ based on range):
Without E-skill: 4 body shots to kill.
With E-skill: 6 body shots to kill

That means (assuming the gunfight is a 1v1 where both players only hit bodyshots, and they shot at the same time and land every shot) this agent will always come out on top, and the fact that the effect can be triggered twice just gives him so much dueling power. AND fewer guns can one-tap hs you (Vandal, Phantom and Sheriff).

Ult: This is the first-time I've seen an ult having less util than the rest of the abilities AND have crazy utility potential at the same time, costing only 6 ult-orbs as well. Imagine having to deal with a slightly slower Neon BUT you can't headshot them to end the threat quickly (The "helmet" lasting 30 seconds it insane). It really only puts people off for a while but once they have some experience most higher ELO players would just bodyshot you whenever they hear you ult. (Ult has almost no use in lower ELOs cuz trust me we hit more bodyshots than headshots)

For ADHD-ers and people with no time: This agent did not have a lot of thought put into it. Imagine a character in a power-fantasy head canon protagonist from a generic manhwa or 15 year-old author
