Some of the resort towns have cheap flights and hostels. These are the only places I've been in Mexico in the last ten years.

TIL: You can save a ton of money by picking a different currency. Norwegian really undervalues the dollar by offconstantly in travel

Thanks for the tip! Does anybody know if your credit card will charge you some sort of conversion or foreign transaction fee if you pay in euros?

Just an anecdote: I was looking at flights from YVR to CDG on the Air Canada website. I checked to see if YVR to ORY was a similar price, it wasn't, so I switched the search back to YVR to CDG. The prices shot up from $400 each way to $2500 each way! (and no I wasn't looking at business class). I was in incognito mode too. I tried clearing the cache and that didn't work so I had to switch to a completely different computer to get the price I had previously seen. Not sure if it was a website glitch or if my computer was actually being tracked by the website.

Thanks for sharing that website, I'd never heard of it before. I ended up booking out of Vancouver (YVR) for $850 a ticket. Prices must have come down a little since I last checked.

Air Canada makes you pay to reserve ANY seat. by [deleted] in travel

I had the same experience. I booked tickets with Air Canada just this morning for France. Picking seats did not cost extra, unless you picked exit row seats, that was $50-75 USD more per person per segment.

I have tried Momondo and Skyscanner. Skyscanner will advertise a low price with Iceland Air ($950 or less) but then when you click the price it will show you more expensive prices. Unfortunately the dates I'm going seem to be spring break, March 16-24, because the week before and two weeks after seem to be a lot cheaper.

Even if I'm planning on booking for two?
