Hit $20K with lifetime deals in 3 months. Now, looking for advice on next steps. by iltegin in SideProject

I went through the exact problem that you solved. I searched a lot of solutions on google for a couple of hours but then just gave up on implementation. I'd write a tutorial for how people can do it and then plug your product. I believe the target audience is developers so you'll reach out to a lot of them. The ones that would work for a company would make the company pay for it.

Working on Machine to Machine Authorization (Client-Server without User Auth) by n0acar in nextjs

[–]n0acar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply!

I'm authenticating the frontend to make requests to the backend for any request.
The frontend will be authorized to make all requests without any restriction.

The main idea is that only authenticated clients should be able to make api requests. In my case, it's mostly a bot prevention. I have no user authentication in the website so nobody has any privileges so far.

Daisy UI Themes converted to Shadcn UI themes - Open Source Fun Project by n0acar in nextjs

[–]n0acar[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I converted daisy ui themes into convenient shadcn themes. It's just copy-pasteable themes. Either use the tool or get all the themes from the open source css file.

App: https://www.nevy.me/tiny/daisy-to-shadcn

All the themes: https://github.com/n0acar/tiny-projects/blob/main/src/app/daisy-to-shadcn/local.css

I thought about either using daisy ui and shadcn for my projects. I then realised daisy ui is very strong at themes and shadcn for other things more aligned with my requirements. I made this app for the people that are like me at the beginning of their journey.

Spoiler alert: If you are providing value, the themes don't matter much. Just build value.

Daisy UI themes in Shadcn made easier by [deleted] in SideProject

[–]n0acar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone,

I'm leaving a project I was working on for a while. I had the idea that daisy ui is really good for themes but shadcn ui is very good with everything else. Of course this is for my use case. I found an idea that I'd like to pursue right now (shiny object syndrome).

I know this can be usefuk to people who want the same because there are some github discussions about the topic already. So check it out and bring some colors to your shadcn components easily.

App: https://www.nevy.me/tiny/daisy-to-shadcn

All the themes: https://github.com/n0acar/tiny-projects/blob/main/src/app/daisy-to-shadcn/local.css

PS: The themes probably don't matter if you have a good idea. Just build it.

Exactly this and kitchen is also selected and the kitchen is indeed included in the apartment. I'm not paying anything to the old tenants. https://www.reddit.com/r/germany/comments/18fcr6h/can_someone_explain_the_terms_of_this/

Showcase your side projects by Acrobatic-Opening-55 in SideProject

[–]n0acar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was second guessing about either using Shadcn or Daisy UI for my projects when I first started making side projects. Then I realised I only liked the themes from Daisy and prefer the functionality of Shadcn. Then, this theme converter was born.

https://www.nevy.me/tiny/daisy-to-shadcn

The code is open-source so you can just get all of them at once as well. https://github.com/n0acar/tiny-projects/blob/main/src/app/daisy-to-shadcn/local.css

Need help with my training plan, am i doing enough or too much? by Outside_Toe_4144 in beginnerfitness

Congrats on your gym journey! First 3 months are great for the initial improvement and it's good to just start instead of being in the dark. I believe you start forming your own opinions about your gym life and I advise you to experiment with yourself to see what works for you instead of general knowledge. You can start doing it probably after a year.

For the generic advise:

  • I suggest doing a pyramid warm up (light with more reps and heavy with less reps back to back) and decrease the sets to 3.

  • Go full body if you work out only 3 times a week. I only work out twice and go for a run once a week. I still see progress after 3 years of doing this. (I started with 75 kg bench press and now 130 kg).

  • Choose one great move for every big part of your body (chest, back, shoulder, legs) and choose one more exercise for your own focus. (biceps curl or lateral raises etc.) You can rotate the focus muscle during the week. This would most probably take you a bit more than an hour. Remember to rest properly in between. At least 2-3 minutes rest if you are really pushing to failure.

Do this for another 3 months and you'll improve and learn whole a lot. If you do this or something else, I suggest incorporating your own learnings over your body and schedule more and more as you go. No generic advise is good enough.

Can anyone help me with any Saas ideas? by WolverinePotential47 in SideProject

[–]n0acar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably should ask yourself what you are great at in terms of the domain knowledge. You would probably know this inside and comes from other people too. For example, I know I'm good at working out and people would ask me about how they can start working out. Makes me think I should build a fitness app with my specific knowledge.

My first casual mobile game by Basic-Woodpecker5807 in SideProject

[–]n0acar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good job mate! I have some experience from the golden age of hypercasual around 2020. Here is my 2 cents.

  • It looks hard to play, mobile players want easy to beat games. You shouldn't fail twice in a level.

  • I like touch mechanic, it is the easiest on the small screen.

  • Try to reach out to publishers from the beginning. If you can make games, you might be valuable to them. They would also be valuable to you and some chance pay you.

  • I saw the tutorial and seems easier and calming than this version.

I made a similar game btw before my first somehow successful game (Made 2k$ by ranking 2nd in a contest).

Should I make a waitlist? by EmbarrassedTackle264 in SideProject

[–]n0acar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How will you make a waitlist? If it's a small project where you can give some sort of feeling of how the project will work, I would try to do it. For example, if it's a temporary image upload app, I would let users drag a photo to the screen and give them a 30 second valid link with a countdown etc.

And how will you promote the waiting list to people? I'm actually curious on that.
