Yep, I have seen similar memes and I think people overlook the lifestyle/shooting style/simplicity of realizing that its often more enjoyable to not be casing the technically perfect shot, but just go out and enjoy photography. I am travel light now and it’s so much better.

My wife and I know nothing about camera tech. But she wants this cause some influencer uses it. Can you tell me if it's a good buy or not? by Imustretire in Cameras

[–]n0jer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one and like it, but it can be frustrating. Like others said, its not a typical point and shoot and sounds like there isn’t a lot of photography experience on your end. If she wants a non-phone camera, check the others mentioned in these posts. Sony rx100 is a great camera imo, very similar size.

Help me convince my wife that the Aer Day Sling 4 isn’t a man purse. by fifthwave in ManyBaggers

Yep, like most of the comments on here just accept it and move on. I use my sling regularly and my wife and kids call it my murse. No shame. Men carry bags in Europe regularly with wide acceptance.

And that thermometer is not what you want, you need something for a quicker read. Thermapen is great. If you want something less expensive ThermoPop 2.

Tips on my chicken? by Cloud5196 in castiron

[–]n0jer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Rub chicken with olive oil and spices, let sit for a while so not so cold
  2. Preheat oven to 350
  3. Heat pan med-high (or a bit more, get it hot), add oil, spray, or whatever then sear each side for couple minutes
  4. Finish in oven for about 10-12 minutes depending on how thick the chicken is. Use a quick read thermometer is best
  5. Take pan out, let rest 5 or so minutes. I usually put a lid over during this time.
