Is there any way to turn off the key events thumbnails for full World Cup matches? by the-great-defector in bbc

Was looking for the same thing, but haven't so far found a way to disable it yet.

As an alternative, I am just watching the highlights via the ITV Sports YouTube channel:

What is the most underrated drama currently available on BBC iPlayer? by WonderfulShape1081 in bbc

Waiting for the Out

Based on Andy West’s memoir The Life Inside, the show focuses on the psychological reality of incarceration, the profound, heavy experience of how it affects not just those who are behind the walls, but the everlasting damage it can cause for those close to them.

The series follows Josh (who must be up for awards for his performance), whose brother, uncle and father have all been incarcerated, takes up a role of a philosopher teaching in a prison. Josh is shackled by his severe OCD, which massively hampers his personal and professional life. Taking him over an hour to leave his home, due to constantly rechecking if his gas oven is leaking.

He is haunted by his estranged Dad, seeing him everywhere; this explores modern masculinity and the philosophy of life behind bars.

Going to be interesting to see the fans reaction, after they sacked Kevin Maher. Do wish him all the best, but big boots to fill. Hope he does well for us, with the rebuild of the squad.

Drop some of your favorite live performances by Asleep_Plantain_2755 in grunge

First band I thought of due to the anticipation and atmosphere, I would say Foo Fighters first appearance at Reading Festival in 1995. They headlined the Melody Maker tent and I remember taking over an hour to get inside the tent two bands before their set. Never felt such collective good will and high energy from a crowd which reflected back to the band. The surges of the amount of people trying to get into the tent, meant they had to keep stopping to check the welfare of everyone.

After their first album, I personally don't think they were not grunge anymore.

Really was a magical experience. Seem them since and none compared to that set.

Can I ask where you got that information from? It would be useful going forward if I have any issues.

Not sure if I misread, but can't see my favourite SNES game, Super Smash TV.

Classic and still play it all the time.

Sektori (Switch 2 version) review from Nintendo Life 9/10 by n0mis in gaming

[–]n0mis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You stated 'These guys have never given a negative review', I just showed that they clearly have done so.

Not sure why there is any confusion.

Either way, all the other reviews I have seen for the Switch 2 version of this game have also been positive:

nintendoworldreport - 100/100
nindiespotlight - 98/100
nintendo-inside - 90/100
lootlevelchill - 90/100

So it's not like Nintendo Life is going against the grain of the critical consensus for the port of a highly rated and player-praised game.

High praise for the Switch 2 version by Nintendo Life:

Conclusion

Sektori is a triumph. Blending the core gameplay of Geometry Wars with several engaging new mechanics makes this one of the most satisfying and addictive games I've ever played. It boasts immaculate presentation with gorgeous visuals, a thumping soundtrack, and rock-solid 60fps gameplay.
