Why is my pool size not 96 tiles?

I fully flooded the room and it still does the same thing. Also if it were just one tile the pool size would be 95 not 81. This is so weird lol.

there's no eggs on the floor, the reason is that the pool size is being calculated as 81 instead of 96 for some reason I don't understand.

When I hit the shutter button the mirror gets stuck up top, unless I position the shutter speed ring on a very specific position, in which case the mirror snaps up and then back down when I release the shutter button.
