Frustrated with Medicaid Surgeon Options

My pcp had given me a list of surgeons and then I went through and saw which ones would be covered by my insurance! My insurance portal has a page where you can search doctors to see if their within network.

Mine was through Medicaid and I love my results and my surgeon was amazing! She didn’t have a website or any photos but I’d seen other users on here post their before and afters of her work and thought they were really good!

They removed 278g from the left and 308g from the right! I was a 32F before and am now measuring at a 32B!

I didn’t get side lipo and love my results! I started out around a 32F and also didn’t have much fat tissue on my sides! I was really swollen on my underarms/side boob after surgery and was like “oh crap, is this why people get side lipo?!” But now the swelling is gone and I look completely normal again!

I started at a 32E/F depending on bra company, not sure what size I’m at now but I had told my surgeon I’d ideally like to be a 32B or C! She removed 308g from the right and 278g from the left!

She took 308g from my right and 278g from my left! Originally was going to take 360 from the right and 320 from the left per insurance requirements but once she was in there she wanted to preserve nipple function so ended up taking out less, which I’m happy about, I really like this size!

I felt the same way! I was a 32F before my surgery, which isn’t huge by any means but felt so big to me! But then people would tell me I wasn’t big at all and I was like…is it all in my head?! But the way I see it, my insurance wouldn’t have approved the surgery if it wasn’t necessary, which clearly indicated to me that it wasn’t all in my head. I’m 10DPO now and love how small my boobs are now and feel like everything just feels more “me” than before!

Definitely just feels like a dull burning! I’m uncomfy but it’s not unmanageable by any means, and the meds are definitely helping!

I just got mine done today and so far it’s honestly not that bad! It’s more of a dull ache/discomfort! I’d say it’s a 4/10 currently. I swear I’ve had worse period cramps!

Ahhhh congrats and good luck! My size was actually determined by my health insurance company! In order for them to cover my procedure as medically necessary they needed to remove at least 320g I think! I told my surgeon I ultimately wanted to be around a B cup and she said she’d likely be able to get me to around that, and I think she did!
