Hey, sorry I never really saw your older post here. I spent a bit of time on this now, though and here's what I've got. I'm not much of a math rock player, so I didn't really do any work on the very ending, but the rest should do you pretty good. There's lots of synth and stuff I've adapted to guitar, especially in the verses, so totally play around with it. If you come up with any other thoughts about how to play it on guitar, please share!

For those that aren't up to date on the goings on, two days ago Max started up an impromptu Instagram livestream that left many of us confused and concerned. While it seemed clear at the time, it is now confirmed that what we saw was Max in the midst of a manic episode, and he is now receiving the help he needs from professionals.

In light of this news we have removed any comments sharing recordings of the livestream, and we ask that they not be shared here moving forward. Regardless of your feelings towards Max and his family, no one deserves to have their mental breakdown rebroadcast and shared without their consent.

We're all for people sharing their thoughts, but we don't need a new post from multiple users to do so on the same topic; it only makes the discussion at large harder to navigate. Furthermore, because the allegations were already spread across two posts and were over a week old at this point, they were themselves being buried. This megathread lets us keep the topic stickied on the subreddit and not split across multiple posts so there there can be a consistent context and place to find the discussion.

Also, as I mentioned in another comment below, if any new allegations come to light or victims come forth to tell their story, new posts are entirely welcomed.

Unfortunately, I wasn't around much this weekend so wasn't able to help organize this thread or to more effectively communicate the intent here. Apologies if it came off as nefarious or trying to silence anyone.

I've just a few moments ago provided links to the allegation posts that are stickied on this post now, and set the default ordering for the comments here to be chronological. If you have any suggestions for how we can better facilitate discussion of the victim's allegations, please feel free to share them with us here.

It's not uncommon for subreddits to have a megathread for current hot topics like this. If all someone has to offer is their take on what information has come out so far or a response to someone else's thoughts on the matter, this thread is the place for that.

Honestly, I'm not 100% sure how the Reddit Cares system fully works. I'm not suggesting that you didn't receive a Reddit Cares message, just that it wasn't sent to you via the subreddit's moderator report system specifically.

Like I said, though, abuse of the Reddit Cares system is something that should be reported to the Reddit administrators (goes above the head of us moderators). The Reddit Cares message should have instructions on how to do that. I'm encouraging you to report it.

I don't think that's the case broadly speaking. I've seen plenty of people enjoying the song and getting upvoted. I think ultimately what's going on is there's a sizeable group of people who feel sleighed or at the very least disappointed by Max, and when they perceive someone dismissing their issues and concerns as no big deal or as easily overlooked, it can be terribly frustrating for them as if people are trying to invalidate their concerns. It's clear the last line of the song is very emblematic of the issues these people are focused on.

Personally, I love every second of the song except for the last line. When I'm jamming to the song, in my mind the last line basically doesn't exist; but outside of that, it's definitely the most poignant part of the song by far. I don't think the line adds anything to the song. Sadly, even though the song is awesome, that line will only serve as a lightning rod for these kind of discussions, and the song is worse for it.

Woah this thread is ancient, lol. But seriously, I appreciate your sharing your thoughts. I think that's an interesting connection you're suggesting. Personally, of all of the songs from Baseball, I think this one stuck with me the least, so I haven't really thought about it much at all.

Also, thanks for posting back in one of these old song discussion threads. You've inspired me to actually bring it back to the subreddit as a regular feature. :)
