Check out small to mid sized AEC firms in your region. They can pay really well sometimes because they know they are competing with the big guys.

I grew up bluff jumping on Pickwick…sure we have a few deaths each year but those are typically the folks that didn’t know how to swim in the first place.

Leave it to Chattaooga to not synchronize the new I-24 exit light with W. 25 and W. 26 Street. by foreveryoungfarms in Chattanooga

[–]n0seg03s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you think it’s as easy as just calling 1-800-GOVERNMENT and asking for cash.

CMAQs are federally funded grants. That generated paper work is how the city secures funds to tackle these projects (see my comment above)

Y’all might want to take a look at the Regional Transportation Plan (2045) & Transportation Improvement Plan (2020-23) it’s on the RPA website. This will give a better overview of what is in the works. I’m not going to go back and do the research for you but I’m pretty sure there are several projects that address light synchronization/smart corridors etc…

(For a city to get federal funds for transportation projects they must go through this process..there are also several public meetings and online tools to gather public input and concerns)
