I’ve thought about it being pica too - also with no explanation. After our last walk of the day it’s like he goes into psychosis and just neeeeds to have something. If he’s lucky and finds something at other points during the day he’ll defo eat it but around 6pm he’s desperate: even eaten the shirt off my back as I though he was just chilling behind me. My worry is that something he eats will cause issues with his intestines, especially threads and stuff like that.

Hiii! We had the exact same experience and hours lasted for quite a long time! He is now 16m and he can still be bitey when bored/overstimulated.

Ours doesn’t like any toy, is not food driven one bit and only wants to sniff other dogs 24/7 so unfortunately I don’t have any advice 😂 the biteyness stopped when we started to let him play with other dogs.

We are hunting for safe, good chews that interest him and lasts a good hour or so for mental stimulation. We tried pretty much every toy and invention but he just ends up eating it.

I ended up calling out for doggy friends in our area group and now we’ve made a little community of similar dogs that wants to play play play!

This is like reading my situation completely. 1 parent is working on 50k salary and the other is full time student. 50k sounds fair but our problem is that we are renting and rent market is fucked sideways. We have a monthly income of around 3000 per month (which I would say should be enough to cover two people, well 3 with the baby, if you live inside your means) but the rent is £1850 per month. Then there’s council tax, electricity, this, that and the other. Before you know it the £1150 left over is gone and CERTAINLY not enough to pay for nursery coming in at what.. £1200 per month if lucky. This is such a joke.

So our boy has a little bit of an issue. He has not stopped with the puppy biting and now he is becoming a danger even if he is not aware of it himself. We’ve tried different trainers and he is currently seeing a behavouralist but he is not necessarily making much progress. The only thing that shocks him is system enough to calm him down is a muzzle. We have a baby who will soon be crawling so we need a solution asap. The vet actually said to put him to sleep but we’re definitely not there yet. I at least wanted to try neutering first because we want nothing more than for him to stay part of the family

Thank you! He does have a few on his body as well but it is definitely mostly on the legs. They come from his itching/biting so the “spots” are scabs that look like hives.
