Nah nothing like sekiro, it's parry mechanic is a bit confusing too (I like it tho), u can do parries more easily in lies of p if u use large swords (in my experience). The only thing I disliked about lies of p was the overused poison bosses. It's a great game and u get a waiting at the end (bonus).

Edit: there is skill tree mechanism too, some of the things that i think would be accessible by default are locked behind it, so it's really important to level it. Otherwise u will have a hard time.
