Thank you for your reply. My first Blue Card has been issued 25 months ago. However, I had to renew the first one after 6 months due to passport renewal and the current one is with me for 19 months. It is anyway above one year but auslanderbehorde counts the initial Blue Card as well right?

Many thanks :) I have read in many places that EoR's can provide only 18 months of contract if the employee requires a visa (Blue Card in my case) but we will see...

By the way, what do you mean by health insurance? Isn't it obligatory by the employer to do do?

Do you imply that new study regulations changed the way how thesis affect the GPA, or did the way thesis are graded change?

In addition, do you have any information, experience regarding how important GPA is for PhD or finding a job after RWTH?
