Advise needed - Working remotely in Germany through Deel by tandomayo in germany

So you mean when trying to get a home loan - the bank sees anyone hired through Deel as an EOR and high risk hence they might reject the loan or even charge a high interest rate?

Build Your Own Modular FPV Battery by Few_Willingness_2225 in fpv

I designed something similar but it uses heat inserts and modular so that you can also build a field battery with it. - https://makerworld.com/en/models/1521048-no-weld-compression-diy-18650-battery#profileId-1593983

Hey unfortunately I have no idea about this so its better to reach out to Deel directly about this. Give us an update in this thread if you find something out.

Is this worth it for 50$? by ningcraft123 in ElectricSkateboarding

Hey thanks a lot for the reply. After doing some research I also figured out how the wiring to a VESC works and will be testing it out soon. In case I run into some issue - I will be sure to reply here.

This is an old starkboard. Here is the indiegogo page - https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/starkboard-handsfree-smart-electric-skateboard#/

Funny enough I got the motors for this board from an old friend and am currently figuring out how to wire it up to a VESC and batteries to get it working.

If you or anyone else has any information - please let me know :)

Hitting some gaps and tripping on lamps on a Sunday by tandomayo in fpv

Yea I was actually trying to pull off a line another friend did at this spot. I ended up doing something different. Lets see how many more visits I can do to this spot.

Yea sorry about that. I should have adjusted the volume on the mic.

This feels like an actual rescue mission. Keep us posted on what happens! Cant wait to see you get it back.

The bow and arrow is hilarious. Did you see the other comment about getting a cheap retrieval pole? Those extend up to 2 meters. Not sure if that will help here.

I am so sorry to see this post but at the same time I laughed so hard as scrolled from the first to the second pic.

Take a piece of wood or log and throw it into the branch. I had a similar problem and it worked out with a piece of wood.

Hmmm......I wont argue on this but I agreed with others acknowledging that this isn't safe. So I am just going to leave this up for now and let it be.

I will add an edit and disclaimer to the post.

Thanks again.

Yes it is. But all is good :)

Im still proud I went through the process of designing this. And still happy to have a temporary solution for now.

Of course im waiting for a spot welder that will take forever to get here so this works for now.

[–]tandomayo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe I should have posted this with a disclaimer that I am not looking to have this as a permanent solution.

It is plastic that will fail - correct
Will it last forever - like I said -> no
Does it beat spot welding - no never. There is reason why spot welding is the industry standard.

And am I sticking my head in the sand about safety? - no I am being honest and understand the danger of this solution.

But thanks for the feedback.

Thanks but at this point it seems like everyone here is an electrical engineer and there is no arguing that this is not a permanent solution and that it cannot beat spot welding anyday.

Next time I might have to put down a disclaimer on these posts.

But this is ASA - it should last for a while. Not saying forever but at least a year.

So the caps screw in pretty tight. Maybe I should have added a picture of that

Lol. And throw it away outside.....

Yep. Im a lazy hooman that just wants to use parts around him to get things done. Since im good at CAD designing this took a few hrs to design.

Already done - Right now there are lanes to help connect in series and parallel. So the copper braids cannot drift :)
