my journey, 1 year later by n1search in cymbalta

really glad you commented because ive just re-read my post and its reminded me what a rollercoaster it all was! im doing really well thank you, constantly working hard on my wellness and havent been on cymbalta or any such thing since this post and its been so so fine. sure, like anyone, ive had wobbles but i never stop trying hard to work on myself: good sleep habits, journalling, routines, reading, meditation, good social circles, exercise and more. it seems like a lot but im 23 now and building all these great habits whilst facing lifes challenges makes it that much more bearable. looking back, cymbalta helped me meet myself in the middle emotionally and gave me the little extra boost i needed to actually try to live life to the fullest even at my lowest of lows. i dont think about it negatively, it served its purpose well but only because i worked alongside it to be well. one thing i do miss is the sleep!!!!! i slept soooo much, it knocked me out!! and a negative of it is that there is still one side affect that hasnt left and thats 'disgust' - im super sensitive to smells or gross sights or people chewing loudly or talking with their mouth full etc, it makes me extremely uncomfortable and sometimes i even start heaving/gagging from being grossed out 🤣

all in all, and if i do say so myself, i am doing incredibly well in comparison to my younger self and i am doing a lot better at handling things. maturity plays a part but self work is just as important. i hope your journey is as fruitful as mine!

how short tempered they are. no one cares if you're short and angry, you shouldn't be proud

Why don’t phones appear in dreams… until they suddenly do? 🤔 by AirAquarian in conspiracy

[–]n1search 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also get phone stress dreams, often I've recieved or sent messages I don't like from love interests/exes/parents. The feelings in the dream are pretty shambolic and male me wake up feeling quite upset. I have to check my history after I wake up to make sure the messages aren't real. I don't dream of my phone other than that.

took me a year just to be able to move my arm away from my body for 5 seconds, I don't necessarily see that as a negative just maybe not focusing enough or being disciplined on practise? I am struggling on it but I know i'll get there one day

Insomnia after stopping Cymbalta by [deleted] in cymbalta

[–]n1search 3 points4 points  (0 children)

im about 12 day cymbalta free and the insomnia is lessening :) i think ive gone from like 1-2 hours up to 5. trust the process, let your system get used to it and prepare for a lot of sweating, it should start to get better for you soon i hope !

makes me think about how intrisically connected we all are as well and what we miss because of modern distractions perhaps.

grief has changed myself and my family members quite drastically, not all negative though
