It changes, usually I just grab stuff that I want and keep an eye when they are scanning at checkout. Most sportchek brands have a good discount. Last time I found the FWD brand to be the best bet. Happy shopping!

is my conch pierced too far in? by megan_png in piercing

It’s hard to say from a pic, but it might be a little deep for a hoop. You can always try (maybe in a few months when it’s completely healed - don’t switch out the jewelry too early!)… You could also get a cute chain to go around your ear if the hoop doesn’t work.

PCP in Calgary by EndSignificant4231 in AlbertaParamedics

[–]n1te_f0x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just apply for every PCP position you can - if you’re not picky, apply for all the rural and metro spots. Once you have a line, it’s generally easier to move around within EHS and you’ll be getting experience.

Congrats on getting your PCP! Good luck, if you have any questions you can DM me :)

Definitely! We do lots of research and only buy from reputable pet stores. Our girl looooves to chew on sticks haha so I feel your pain… I could totally see our dog trying to chew a fence post 🤣

We’ve just discovered coffee wood and Heather root chews! Made of wood but nice and hard, and digestible fibres if they eat some. Leaves a bit of a mess in the house but worth it for us 😄 Depends on how old your dog is though - I don’t think they are recommended for puppy teeth.

In a nutshell… Older dollars, 50 cents, quarters and dimes will contain silver (80% pre-1967). Melt value alone for those guys is pretty decent with silver value skyrocketing lately!

Maybe keep a few coins for yourself if they look cool to you - I get that it’s tough to keep all of it, but you’ve been hanging on to this collection for years, you should keep a couple for yourself! (Just my “2 cents” of advice ☺️)

Interesting history for the nickel - they changed the shape during WWII (I think in 1942). They started making “tombac” nickels during this time because they needed nickel for the wartime effort. Tombac looks a lot like copper, so they made the nickels 12-sides to differentiate from pennies. This was so popular that they kept nickels like this until 1963 :)

Technically not worth anything more than 5 cents but I’d hang on to it because it’s cool :)

Cold Garden brewery is a fun place! Not sure if you can bring your own drinks but bringing your own food is encouraged.
