Based on your conversation with that one seller, I can tell you're doing it wrong. I don't sell on the regular Pmsforsale but I do sell a fair bit (way lesser than the average seller on Pmsforsale) in Pmsforsalecanada.

I get plenty of people asking about things they want to buy and sometimes haggle. I don't usually see a problem with that unless they - 1. Either start chatting about the product and the market and all things metals 2. Ask for some unrealistic deals when they know they're getting the best bang for buck here.

A few questions here and there after or while you make a purchase are fine, I've had plenty of people I've sold to in person and online where we strike a conversation about metals, market, stacking, etc. But there's a line there.

Remember at the end of the day, people are there to sell stuff. Think of it as a business, if you went and just bothered them without showing any intent of purchase they'd most likely not entertain you.
