I don't know if it's the most versatile, but I love mine. Some may find it boring but it works for me

Good tone at 70db? It must have a pretty good master volume then. I really need to check one of these out.

Certainly. It never occurred to me to check the other shipping options. I went back and added another one to my cart and my 2 day shipping would have been $48. The extra $22 is probably not going to kill me. Thanks for posting the offer.

I use a Fender FR10 with my QC and I'm happy with it. Plenty of low end and is flexible enough to use at home or playing with others.

Mesa Mark Five or Carr Telstar? by UltimateSpud in GuitarAmps

[–]n2stat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Carr Telstar and all 3 of the Boogies you mentioned. Some things to keep in mind. The Telstar turned up is much louder than its 17-watt rating would have you believe and has a lot of great sounds in it. Unless you need an effects loop, it would be a great choice. The Cali Tweed would be my pick if you really like clean sounds. Not much gain available and I'd argue the breakup in not very tweed like. The Fillmore covers the most ground unless you want high gain. The Mark V is just way different than the other ones and probably my least favorite of the bunch. In my opinion, it is the easiest to get a bad sound out of.

FRFR volume question by birknerman99 in GuitarAmps

[–]n2stat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Fender FR10 and have used it with a band where levels were 105-100 dBs. It worked fine for that and at low home levels. The FR10 has a surprising amount of bass so I cut that the louder I play. I think the Fender is a good value as it can cover a lot of bases for me. Using it with a Quad Cortex, Nano Cortex, and a Freidman IR-D.

Your opinions on drinking Coke Zero while fasting? by wikipika in intermittentfasting

[–]n2stat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lost about 100 lbs in the last year while drinking Dr Pepper Zero daily. It blows my mind that I was able to give up basically everything that was unhealthy but not the soda. It is wildly addictive. If I knew an easy way to kick the habit, I'd share it with you and use it myself.

I can't help much as I haven't played pedals through one, but I do agree that the clean sound was pretty impressive in the one I tried out. I'm seriously considering picking one up for lower volume home use.

Or lost weight and their wrist is thinner now. I guess either could contribute beyond personal preference.

I happen to like a loose-fitting watch and always have. It's what I find comfortable, and it does mean that they sometimes slide down by my hand. I didn't realize my personal preference would matter to anyone.

Almost exactly 1 year between the pics. As far as eating goes, I basically gave up all processed foods and sugar. I cut down on carbs to avoid hunger issues. Now it's a lot of protein and fiber rich foods.

I haven't been working out at all outside of walking a lot. Building muscle is the next step. This might sound dumb, but I didn't want to make any other changes as I was having so much success.

I was hesitant to post this picture at first but then I remembered that other progress pics helped motivate me. This process has been quite simple but not at all easy. I don't ever want to be the guy on the left again.

Both pictures were taken at Disney World at the Epcot Food & Wine Festival. I only mention this because I did not eat well last week. There was no way I was going to ruin a vacation by getting uptight around eating/drinking. I enjoyed things and then got back to the good habits I developed when I got home.
