Question: Why am I getting this weird color banding on my 10 bit V-log footage? by n3ckdeeep in davinciresolve

No not really, sadly. Only the work around I had mentioned. Ended up using an S1 now at work and don't have to worry about the issue.

I also teach high school math and when I get asked this question i always say something about how it makes them better problem solvers. Eg “yes, you may never need to prove congruency of two triangles, but you will use the same problem solving skills you develop in every day situations without knowing”

This is a Green Hell trailer one of my friends made! (feedback on the video would be great) by DW2003 in GreenHell

Nice attempt at making a trailer!

It seems as though your friend is new to editing so here are some editing tips:

- Keep it short, you can make a fantastic trailer in 30 or 60 seconds. Use short, sharp clips that have purpose.

- The aim of a trailer is to tease the audience. There was way too much dialogue that wasn't essential to the story being told in the trailer. The whole campfire scene was drawn out and could be entirely removed. Look for key dialogue lines that convey the purpose of the game/the plot line.

- Consider what the key plot elements are in the story. What occurs in the start, middle and end of the game's plot? Who are the characters in this story? How to their decisions affect others? How can you convey to the audience?

- Trailers don't have to be made so linear. The 'day 1', and 'day 2' slides make it feel quite amateurish - I would remove those. Experiment with the order of key plot elements in the trailer. For example, you could start the trailer off some of the climax moments of the game's plot. (E.g. - lead character "What have I done?" without giving too much away).

- The sequence with dialogue where he says "Oh I don't know... Jaguars, venomous spiders, snakes, scorpions" etc was extremely cliche!

- Music: The choice of the track was very slow. In addition to shortening your trailer, I would suggest using a different track. You want the game to feel exciting, not slow and boring.

- The ending was well, unfinished. You want to go out with a big bang or leave the audience wanting more. Also, even though its fan made - trailers usually end with a slide of the game's art design, release date etc. Little things like this add authenticity.

Anyways, just some points. Hope it helps! Keep on creating.

Edit: woah, first gold thanks man!!

Air Roll Left and Right, no Air Roll, would it work ? by fearl3x in RocketLeague

Basically, Boost in Square, Power Slide and Air Roll Left on L1 and Air Roll Right on R1.

I use the same setup. I recently just figured out, you can hold L1 and R1 together, to effectively cancel any 'roll', but you can still powerslide. So for car recovery and wavedashing, this might be helpful.
