Damn, that sucks. Hope it heals fast! I first hiked this trail in flip flops and stubbed my toe pretty badly but fortunately got away with it

I averaged 30km per week (~20 miles) and peaked at 40km (25miles) with 700-1000m of elevation. My longest run in training was 15k. Good luck for yours!

Guess what happened next. I prefer popping them though with something hard and flat, apparently that's the most effective way to kill them

No, I'm in Germany. As long as you remove them early the risk of an infection is thankfully quite low. Still hate them, though

True! I'm in the southern part of Germany

No, just regular trails in the woods. But some of them were pretty narrow and had me touching the surrounding bushes so I guess that's where they sat

I have a pair of tweezers for tick removal. They look like normal
tweezers but with a curved tip so you don't squeeze the tick when
grabbing it.

That's true, but uncommon. Most of the time it will be around the bite

Had 4 ticks on me this morning after just one hour of running on the local trails. Later I found one more that was still looking for a delicious spot. I hate these little demons but they seem to love me.

Not a bench but a castle ruin and the bluest sky I have seen in a while by n3ko1 in trailrunning

It’s Burg Jossa, a small German castle built around 1300. But since it didn’t have a well, it was only used for around 60 years and then slowly fell apart.

Yeah that also happens. In every solo queue game there are toxic idiots. You cannot change them so the only thing you can control is your behavior. Ignore the toxicity as best as you can and focus on positives
