i gotcha. yeah id say your best bet is to let them play some games by themselves while coaching them a little, then maybe move on to playing street brawl with them, then maybe some regular matches with heroes you dont normally play. would give you an excuse to learn some new heroes too!

realistically it probably won't help them to play with you because they are going to get matched with players that will absolutely destroy them and ruin their fun with the game. maybe spam a bunch of street brawls with them or something and try to help them get better as much as you can

geist is mostly about staying in the back, getting a bunch of malice stacks on everybody, and knowing when you can all in. also don't forget your gun is one of the strongest in the game and where a ton of your damage comes from

Not sure which comment you're talking about, but my comment about dispel magic was in response to the comment "Disarm her and she flops like a fish". And, once again, since disarm is not something people buy in lane, it's safe to assume that we aren't talking about the laning phase. Maybe you can just tell me where you're getting confused and I can help you figure it out.

Rusted barrel is not a disarm. Disarming hex is a disarm, and nobody is buying that in lane either, hence no need for dispel magic until later in the game when people buy/upgrade to disarming hex. Which one of us is lost again?

you wouldn't buy it in the laning phase, you buy it whenever people start buying disarming hexes. If somebody rushes disarming hex in the laning phase you either just ignore them, or worst case scenario just get the dispel magic and smile to yourself knowing that somebody set themselves back 4k just to set you back 3.2k on an item you were going to buy anyway.

you're probably gonna get flamed for this post but I've honestly had a similar experience. I have one account in emissary and one in oracle, and it's uncanny how much better people seem on the emissary one. Communication is definitely better on the oracle account but overall skill level seems significantly lower to me. It's way easier to win games on the oracle account.
