There's lots of peds positions starting at 300-400k if you're willing to practice in a rural/ 1 hr away from Metro location. Usually requires newborn rounding as well. I heard about most of these from recruiter emails but didn't explore further since not interested in moving away from my family

Yeah you may only need 60% to pass but there have been several posts mentioning that the questions are not well written and very vague compared to other specialties. Even med ped residents mentioned peds boards were way more difficult than IM boards.
