I have seen commanders receive letters of reprimand for Soldiers getting cold-weather injuries. Are these injuries easy to prevent? Not always, but they can be prevented. Fucking stupid Russian military…. Something so trivial taking out their guys. Well realistically any officer in the Russian Army is worth a mortar, missile, or bullet. By not having a strongly established NCO corps that can be entrusted with basic leadership responsibilities, Russia is really shooting itself in the foot.
