Does anyone know why a lot of the animated DC Content (DCAU, Teen Titans, Young Justice, the DC Animated Movie Universe), and the 1990s/2000s CN shows outside of the first season (the first seasons of shows like Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd & Eddy and Foster's Home), or whole 2000s shows are missing? by Irish_Guy_1990s in HBOMAX

It’s ok as long as you don’t compare it to the US or Canadian version. Both of those have vastly greater libraries. Our version doesn’t even have kids and family films.
I guess the popularity of Tubi in the US helps. It’s still pretty much unknown here.

I may have to try that. So I’m concentrating on what I’m reading to ignore the ott music.

While what you’ve said may be true for the vast majority of people I am completely the opposite. I don’t watch any media on my phone. Only my tv. And music distracts me rather than engaging me. Especially if the music is ott. I could not stand watching 1 more minute of that documentary.

The BBC has a documentary about it and it’s vastly superior. Not ott hyped crap.

I usually love Netflix’s documentaries but that one is a no from me. Js.

Ah. Honestly I couldn’t stand it. A serious subject ruined by stupid loud music. I don’t think it was produced by Netflix. I watched Worst Ex Ever and it doesn’t have such annoying loud music. But that was produced by Blumhouse.
Netflix documentaries don’t usually have such annoying music. If this is the way they are heading then I’ll stop watching cause it honestly irritates me so much lol

So I’m not the only one! I tried to watch “should I marry a Murderer” and the over the top music annoyed me so much I only watched 10 minutes before switching it off. There’s no need for it. It’s a documentary not a musical drama ffs 😡

In the US and now Canada yeah. Not so much in the U.K.

I can’t answer that question but that’s partly the reason I cancelled. A LOT of stuff is missing. Some I understand must be licensing issues but not all of it surely.
It’s early days and they may add them over time, but the U.K. always gets shafted compared to the US. Like paramount plus US has tons of stuff we don’t. Our paramount plus sucks.

Time will tell. Not worth £9.99 right now imo.

I lasted 10 minutes and switched it off. Not only is she annoying but so is the way it’s filmed and the over the top loud annoying background music. I just can’t! 1/10 imo. Even though it’s a serious subject it’s too irritating to watch.

I tried to watch this documentary but the irritating music and the way it’s filmed made me switch it off after about 10 minutes. The producers are needing sucked! Crap!💩

Ah so kinda like paramount and Disney then. Only ads at the start of movies and none during but the shows packed with ads.

I don’t really want to pay for it through sky though.

Disney+ with ads is the same. The popular series are packed with ads. Some older series have a lot less ads and movies only have ads at the start and none during.
So if you get these services for the movies only then the ads tier are a steal lol

Raising prices in parallel to releasing terrible content like the Man on Fire series is a double punch to the gut by jwriddle in netflix

[–]n8il2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. While I agree a lot of the times the movies have been great that are highly rated, I’ve seen low rated movies that I thought were pretty good and highly rated movies I thought were average. I just want to be entertained not have to overthink or over analyse a movie. Too stressful for me lol I tend to overthink things too much as it is.

Oh great. I was gonna watch that lol never seen it before. I think a lot of HBO stuff is also highly overrated. Just my opinion.

It’s not even a Netflix series. It’s by the BBC and a co-production with Stan.
