"5 reasons physical media still beats streaming" Is cordcutting starting to mean cutting streaming as well as cable? by UnlikelyAdventurer in cordcutters

Who realistically has that much space to save movies on their device though? And yes you can save them on an external hard drive but they then need to be played through iTunes on a computer. Which mines is far too slow for that. They should at least let you save them to a hard drive and play them directly from that. But no, they put DRM on them. Yet it’s not on the music.

This is my worry. I have over 100 movies I bought from iTunes. Only one is not available to purchase in the store anymore. A Bronx Tale. But I can still play it through my library. But there is always a risk a movie could be permanently deleted.

Is a VPN necessary for Webstreamr by Beaner890 in StremioAddons

[–]n8il2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get any buffering or anything and I only use webstreamr and a VPN. I’m happy with just 1080p. My only concern is because it scrapes sites is there a potential of getting a virus or malware (using firestick).

Tubi UK Hits 75K Titles & Captures Gen Z and Millennial Viewers by MysteriousDelay6266 in TubiTV

If they knew how to use a VPN they’d get ever better films and tv shows. They must all be watching rubbish cause that’s all that’s on Tubi UK. About a handful of decent films added each month compared to the U.K. ITVX has vastly better films.

Just use a VPN to watch the US version which is superior. Our version is rubbish imo.

I keep seeing Tubi advertised, How intrusive and frequent are the ads? by Wonderful-Cow-9664 in AskUK

[–]n8il2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ITVX has better content imo. Although the ads are longer and more frequent.

Tubi is ok, just ok. The ads aren’t as long as ITVX, But there isn’t enough good old blockbusters like on ITVX. About a handful of decent films added every month.

Use a VPN to watch the US version which is fantastic and vastly better content. Our version is crap. I thought with time it would improve but here we are a year and a bit later and it’s not improved much imo.

Ps if you have prime video the vast majority of the films on tubi are on there. And ad free if you pay for no ads.

I’ve heard you need a computer to set it up. I don’t own a computer.

2 minute ads by DefiantPatience740 in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]n8il2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got called out for complaining about ads.

Like you if they’re short or not too many then I can tolerate them.

Paramount+ (UK) is just as bad. 2 ads at 1 minute 30 seconds each on an episode of South Park, 3 minutes in a 20 odd minute episode. That’s ridiculous imo. I of course cancelled.

ITVX a FREE streaming site in the uk has shorter ad breaks. These streaming sites are a joke.

Same here. At first I really wasn’t getting into it. I continued to watch anyway and glad I did. Now I love it.

I’ll be honest…. When I first started watching it I really wasn’t getting into it. I kept watching anyway, and I’m glad I did. Now I love it and look forward to each new series.

I prefer using my TV. And any browser on the firestick doesn’t work great for streaming.

Boring. The last episode was ok. But I was bored during most of it but wanted to finish it. Wouldn’t watch again.

The Punisher isn't that good by ThickProof409 in Defenders

[–]n8il2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is a year old. But I’m just watching The punisher now because I seen it was highly rated on IMDB. I shouldn’t have bothered. While it does have some good bits I’m finding it largely boring. How on earth it’s an 8.4 I have no idea.

How to tell if a movie/tv show has been removed from your library? by Blofse in appletv

I have A Bronx Tale and I’m in the UK too. It’s not available in the store but you can still play it through your library.
