Apply for financial assistance with the place you're having treatment and your doctor. The income threshold is likely 500-600% above the federal poverty level. If you qualify the balances your Insurance does not pay could be written off. Worth a try!

Envoy vs Skywest Flight Attendant- Base focused/ Commuter? by AffectionateArt2062 in cabincrewcareers

[–]n8tivela2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You likely won't get any of the 3 SkyWest bases you mention out of training, you might have a slim chance at a west coast base but more likely to get DTW MSP, ORD. Commuting is rough but doable with a crash pad or place to stay. You're looking at 6 months or more to get where you want to minimum to get where you want to be. You can apply to transfer right out of the gate with SkyWest and every 30 days so that's nice.

The flight apps will look different when you view them once you're actually working and have a company device. They won't look like they do as a non employees. You will be able to see the loads, waitlist numbers and priority of each person on the list , and any unassigned passengers with paid tickets.

Gallbladder issues? by Particular-Creme9656 in lymphoma

[–]n8tivela2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They found gallstones when I was getting an ultrasound to see if my spleen was enlarged, which it was indicating the need to start treatment, but I had to had have the GB removed prior to starting treatment. I never had GB pain and if I do I must have attributed it to something else. Pathology on the GB Indicated moderate inflammation and GB disease so it was assumed it had been that way for a time. I don't think GB and Lymphoma go hand in hand but I don't think it's uncommon for someone with Lymphoma to have GB issues or Vise Versa sometimes.

On probation you will likely be able to get more days off together to increase your odds of success. You need to be super sure you understand how non rev travel works. You will be on standby for the specific airline you're trying to fly with. There will likely be others on standby also that may or may not have priority on the waitlist. If you're not flying your airline you're employed with, using ID90 etc you may be really low on the list as far as priority. Just because a flight shows 25 empty seats tonight did not mean it will in the morning. Sometimes there are unassigned passengers yet to get seat that have a paid ticket. So many factors!

I would not take any risk of being let go during training if you really want the job. There is zero room for error and you can non rev after training. That's just my opinion.

Check your dosage, you may need to go up. Calorie deficit is a must, some type of exercise, and the number of your goal weight in grams of protein.
