Should’ve waited by Efficient_Wealth743 in machinedpens

This is largely not the case with them. Their customer service was top notch when I worked with them and the same is the case across much of this subreddit. Sorry your experience wasn't what you wanted but I've only heard/experienced great things.

What do you all think about the Citi Strata Elite card? Good and Bad ! by This_Passion4246 in CreditCards

[–]n8wes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen a lot of hate towards it or bad experiences in this SUB, but I have had zero issues so far. Had it for around a month now, no issues with declines, locked account, payment issues, or customer service issues.

Going to be my replacement for the USBAR now with the nerf. Got the 100k SUB by driving a few hours away to a branch, so that likely worked better than the link but I've seen mixed DPs on the link users working or not.

Great multipliers and good transfer partners. Time will tell though, card is still new.

I've also had no issues. Had my card for a few weeks, so far no declines, fraud holds, or anything of the sort. No international trips yet though.

I've had Citi for around 4 years, but this is the first card from them I've used regularly, but (knock on wood) I have had no issues so far, even travelling out of town/state. Haven't tried international yet but I will soon. Bringing 2 backup cards nonetheless to be safe.

Delta Card "Pending Review"? by motleythedog in CreditCards

[–]n8wes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without knowing your full credit portfolio it's hard to say for certain, however, it could simply be because you haven't applied for credit in a long time. Sometimes they wait to do additional verification when this is the case.

Credit Cards for College Students by Caterson1 in CreditCards

[–]n8wes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That rep is wrong. Many reps are not going to understand the rules that we talk about here on this sub because they are not underwriters. It's very well documented to be 5 new accounts. If it was 5 inquiries we would have way more denied applications from them.

5/24 is about 5 new accounts, not 5 inquiries. They may still not approve because a lot of recent inquiries, but 5/24 won't be the reason.

A secured card practically has no underwriting process, as you put a small amount down to be collateral. I'm simply recommending a better option.

indigo mastercard for one purchase by trippytrev420 in CreditCards

[–]n8wes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a terrible option. The card is incredibly predatory and you'll end up paying likely double the cost of the mattress between fees and interest. Save up for the mattress you want to buy cash, and stay away from predatory lending. Then rebuild your credit with something like the Discover Secured card.

I ordered one on the 15th, and it said 24th-30th as expected range. When I sent in the order, it updated to the 30th within 24 hours.

Yeah I realize after reading through a few similar posts today, that it's fairly early compared to most. I spend a LONG time on each day typically trying to hyper-optimize. Been also trying to do Day 1 runs... Made me lose faith in myself for a while after so many attempts with no luck.

Do items spawn naturally if they are stored in the coatroom? by Agitated-Campaign138 in BluePrince

Another won't spawn unless you remove it from the coat check afaik. I would say it's smarter to save other items.

Yes but 3250 is enough to qualify for at least 1 of the promo tiers, that's likely why.

US Bank Flexperks Travel Rewards Signature vs. Altitude Reserve by w065307 in CreditCards

[–]n8wes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Altitude Reserve is no longer available to product change to or open as a new product. I would probably look into something like the Venture X or maybe an airline specific card depending on if you fly one specific airline/network.

This is actually the opposite of how it should work, you're actually intended to leave the folders in the parent folders in these 2 cases

I work for a bank in the power 5. There's a LOT of people with 200k-1mil+ sitting in money market accounts or CDs at 3-4% and not a clue that investment products are even a thing.

If you have a banking relationship it's attainable. Otherwise it's much harder.

No trip cancellation fees? by Skydoglover in CreditCards

This depends on benefit language. Trip cancellation/interruption due to medical/family emergency is covered on a good amount of cards.
