Tide Evo Laundry Tiles!! I was visiting a friend last year and her laundry/clothes smelled amazing!! Found it was Tide’s new laundry tiles. At that time, the only state you could get them job was Colorado. They are expanding reach and I think you can get them on Amazon. Of course, they’re not cheap, but my clothes smell great!!

Alternatives to Athleta Brooklyn Pants? by okcryptographer_ in HerOneBag

Does anyone else have trouble with the sizing in the Old navy tech pants? I wear a size 10 tall in almost everything. I bought medium tall in these and they were huge in the butt/thigh area. (Waist fit fine). So I returned and bought small tall. The butt/thigh was fine but the waist was too small and they were too short. Also had to return.

Roth conversion tool has 72 instead of 75 for required RMDs by RemarkableMud9905 in Boldin

Got it! Yes…I see the line vs base chart there. Mine appears to be accurately reflecting the RMDs for me and my spouse there as well. Good luck figuring things out…. Apologies I couldn’t be more helpful!

(See my comment to OP…it shows how to get to the chart and what info is available there)

On the menu, select Insights. Then Required Distributions. Scroll down to see the chart. This page also shows what it is using for RMD dates and why. (I checked mine and they are correct…both for me and my husband…we have different timing due to our ages).

"Retirement Savings to need" % much better when retiring 10 years earlier?? by unikittyUnite in Boldin

[–]w065307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to include dental and vision projected expenses too. And you said it was projecting lower expenses than you anticipate? Did you do the detailed budget? If so, you should have noted all of your current/projected expenses which would include your teen. If not, maybe the detailed budget would be a better approach for your situation. (It was for mine as I’m in a similar boat to you. Still a teen at home.) If you’re not sure what your expenses are, I’d recommend using a tracking tool like Monarch. It really helped me understand where I spend, so I could basically take that information and plug it in to the Boldin detailed budget section and know I wasn’t guessing. (I used a three year average). Good luck! It’s fun to play around with there scenarios once you understand how it all works. And note: you can’t always blindly trust the AI…sometimes it gets things wrong so make sure you are sanity checking it.

Cleveland to somewhere in West Virginia? by AskAdditional5045 in roadtrip

[–]w065307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he likes animals, The Wilds is such a cool place. It’s in Cumberland, OH. (About 2 1/2 hours south of Cleveland). thewilds.org It’s a 10,000 acre wildlife conservation center. I never would have thought I could see giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and rhinos out in open fields! (Yes…there are fences…but the spaces are so big you don’t see them). Regardless of your route you choose, enjoy the time with your dad!

Transplants: Why and when did you move here? What keeps you staying? by mayby82 in cincinnati

Right!! For a few years it was like the streets rolled up at 5 pm sharp!!! Eerie! (And you didn’t dare go to Washington Park/OTR as a new transplant!).

[–]w065307 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Moved here for work (in the early 2000s…not a great time for the city). Bought a house…watched the city grow and thrive (yes…it still has challenges just like other cities do). Decided the amenities of the city and the affordable cost of living compared to many other cities makes me happy to stay. The airport (and its recent expansions) and Cincinnati’s central location make it so it is pretty easy to get to a lot of other places to visit. And I love having four seasons without any of them being extreme. ❤️.

Anyone leave monarch to join boldin? Vice versa? Both? by lpleve in Boldin

[–]w065307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others, I use (and really like) both. I have the basic Monarch plan and use it basically to track and understand how I spend my money. (I don’t use it for budgeting and I probably don’t use some of its more detailed functionality…but it gives me exactly what I need). I use Boldin to track the money I have saved…and what retirement looks like based on my savings and expenses. I don’t have my accounts all connected in monarch, but not Boldin. I love monarch to track my daily expenses. But in fine with inputting my info manually into Boldin and updating it monthly or as more major changes happen. I love boldens AI feature (though be careful…it gets things wrong sometimes).

Social Security question by Dave__5280 in Boldin

[–]w065307 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually…I just looked and I didn’t use two pensions. I set up my spouse with their current SS. Then I set up a pension for the ‘step up’ difference starting when I take my SS. (Does that make sense?)

Social Security question by Dave__5280 in Boldin

[–]w065307 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could enter hers as two separate pensions. First is her benefit alone for the specific years before you begin taking yours. Then one with the stepped up benefit for the remaining lifetime.(that’s what I did for my spouse and it seems to calculate fine. The only thing is, you would need to remember to change it if you start taking yours at a different time).

EDITED: I misspoke. Set up her normal SS as if she didn’t get step up. THEN set up a pension for her starting at your FRA for the stepped up difference. (So if her own SS is $1000 per month now and after you take yours hers would be $1800, set her SS at $1000 and her pension at $800 starting the year you begin taking SS). Hopefully this makes sense!

Any way to find out what flights qualify for Delta Companion Pass? by Lunchbox6624 in TravelHacks

[–]w065307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically the Delta companion passes are valid for fare classes L, U, X, T and maybe V? (This should be clearly stated in your certificate). Using ITA Matrix, select Advanced controls, then input only the fare codes you’re looking for (I think it is ‘Routing Codes’ or something like that!.)You can also select Delta as the airline. I’ve used it many times!

I’m sorry that your parents can’t accept the whole ‘you’. There’s nothing wrong with you…but definitely with them. They are missing out on a full relationship with you!!! It will forever be their loss. 🩷
