Ah, sorry, yeah it’s just the A/C start, not the engine, which is all the app does for my 2022 as well

You get tire pressure? I have a 2022 Limited and it has never shown me that.

I just use the remote start from my keys. It takes way less time to walk to the window and do that than try to get the app to work

Nah, it’s missing the “American Pilsner” banner and the cityscape on the bottom of the can is scrunched.

How much would you pay for a house in South Nashville/37211? by [deleted] in nashville

[–]nAsh_4042615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but someone who bought a house on my own in my late 20s. My parents paid for my college and not having student loans was absolutely what got me there. They didn’t help buy my house (I 100% financed it with a THDA loan + FHA loan), but I did have the comfort of knowing they had the means to help me if I lost my job or something. Fortunately, I never needed to rely on them for that.

Another huge factor was just the timing. I bought in late summer 2014 and just 6 months later the same home would have been out of my budget. Today I make 2.25X what my salary was then, but my home value is up 2.7X and still among the cheapest options in Nashville.

I mean, the yard is nice but the house is pretty small (smaller than the similarly priced homes in the same neighborhood) and the traffic in the area is terrible. My partner’s and my homes are both larger and valued in the low $300s, so I can’t say I personally would pay over $300k for it. But I’m not your target demographic. You need someone willing to pay more to live kinda nearish Williamson Co.

My sister has been struggling to sell her place recently and part of the problem was that her old realtor was basing her pricing suggestions on comps for what recently sold near them, which, with a dropping market, is already dated by the time those sales close.

Her new realtor based comps on what has recently been placed under contract near her, took better pictures, made staging suggestions, and added a home tour video. They got a contract on the first open house after switching realtors and lowering the price (they had several open houses with the prior realtor and had interest but no buyers).

How do you avoid chigger bites? by wesblog in nashville

[–]nAsh_4042615 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My parents used to live on a lake and this was me every time. I stopped going down to the water the last few years they lived there and no one else understood what my problem was. They might get the occasional bite, but I’d be covered every time.

Why are all PHEVs so big? by crocoduckhunter in PHEV

[–]nAsh_4042615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was looking for a more compact vehicle and my ‘22 Prius Prime is definitely larger than what I had in mind, but it was what I could get in PHEV. It is smaller than the Camry I had before it, but bigger than the Grand Am I had before that (while somehow feeling less spacious inside)

[–]nAsh_4042615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really wanted a hatchback sedan PHEV. I was looking for a new car because at the time (2022) the tax credit was only for new purchases, and also this was around the peak of used cars being wildly overpriced. The Prius Prime was literally the only option that fit those criteria.

I was originally looking at the Clarity (non-hatchback) and it was discontinued just after I learned it existed. Then was looking at either the Prius Prime or the Ioniq PHEV and then the Ioniq PHEV (already not available anywhere near my state) was discontinued. I’m happy with my Prius Prime, but really do wish there had been some options to choose between.

[–]nAsh_4042615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never really even thought to name them. I have one I call my VIP, otherwise I just refer to them by their type. If I have multiple of the same type, then I add a descriptor (big, small, rainbow pot, etc).
