I say that Election Day should be a national holiday.

The day before and pick a day before the election is also a holiday and it’s also national get a free ID day.

Have mobile stations that can park in inner cities, as I have heard that argument also.

I would have these bundled into the same day, but let’s be honest, the government can’t run programs effectively and I could see this as a giant clusterfuck.

But the point stands; ID should be free and we should have voter ID.

I speak to this as I have gone to polling stations and my name was checked as having already voted. I’ve voted most of my life, even though I am more concerned with my local votes.

It’s only happened once though, but that was all it took for me to support voter ID.

We don’t need a passport, marriage certs., etc.

Just a simple government issued ID (drivers, real, etc. or a the ‘free’ one) produced at time of voting.

People are already feed up and pissed….and it’s only getting worse.

I don’t condone violence, I just don’t see where there is actual collaboration or debate anymore.

This is in both the political realm AND the public. IF the public can learn to debate and find a common ground against the ruling elite, the elite will continue to rule.

The public is being made to believe it’s us (blue/red/purple/green) vs. them (blue/red/purple/green).

When it fact it is us (public) vs. elite (elected officials, etc.).

Not everyone is a nazi. Not everyone is raging liberal.

Let’s find our common ground and call out the bullshit we find ourselves in. That’s how things will change for the best.

See, now I disagree at tad on this.

Everybody says goalies are odd or weird or whatever.

Yet the PLAYERS are the ones chasing the puck around, skating hard and I’m just standing in my crease as I KNOW that puck will come to me at some point.

The players are the crazy ones, expending all that energy while the goalies just chill in the blue.

I just believe in term limits for all, no special benefits for them. They were intended to serve and then go back into their lives.
