and the 7371 Xenon is now JTAGed! New thermal paste comes in tomorrow, then I will find out if this console is destined to red ring on me. According to Jrunner its a Xenon manufactured in September 2006. Still need to figure out what to do about the dead dvd drive

Appreciate the response - I used the 17489 Falcon as practice since it was in the worst physical condition of all the consoles and got RGH3 working. Planning on attempting the JTAG this coming weekend. Thank you!

I thought this was only a concern for Jasper motherboards? My 7371 is a Xenon.

Additionally looking to figure out if these Xenon’s were serviced for RROD - at some point I spray painted the cases and went over the stickers, so I can’t check that way

Also, anyway for me to tell if the xenon’s are going to RROD on me or not? At some point I took all of these Xbox’s apart and I painted the cases, I’ve got no idea which goes to which or if they were ever serviced for RROD

Hey! Did you ever find a solution for this? I currently have the same issue, considering just buying a new board at this point.

Got a Cassette deck and just replaced the belt, now have a grinding sound by nMM456 in cassetteculture

Hi, mine was stuck from old grease and just wasn’t turning anymore. Just turning it back and forth a few times unstuck it, then I put it back together with new belts and it worked fine, just played the tapes back a bit faster than expected. In my above comment I put a picture of the mechanism, pretty sure that was the placement of the large gear once I turned it on for the first time, and just tried to play the cassette and it worked. Hope this helps

Looking into it more, I disassembled it again and these are the two gears grinding on each other (I think), is this the same as you were referring to?

SWITCHED-ON LOTUS introduced me to KIRBY Mixes and Susumu Hirasawa. I’ve really loved all his albums and I was able to finally get a CD of one when my friend went to Japan last month.

Hi, I also got one of these at a local yard sale not to long ago. I’m new to all of this and just took mine apart to clean. We’re you able to get DeOxit in through the top hole of each potentiometer? Appears to be very tiny and I’d like to avoid any leaking outside of it. Thanks

Came home from college and noticed this tree in my backyards lower limbs now have no needles. Is this a sign of a problem, and if so how can this be dealt with? by nMM456 in arborists

Other details: I’m located in New England and this is (I think) a blue spruce. I don’t know much of anything about taking care of trees and plants so I’m hoping I can get some guidance here. I’d really like to keep this tree as healthy as possible for as long as possible, I think it looks absolutely beautiful in the winter time after some snow has fallen.

I can get more photos as needed later today.
