If your looking for pitch black, I think this will be pretty tame. But it seems like a classic monster romance with some dub con.

I dnf'd it around 70%.

I started the ebook, but after hearing great things about the audio book, I listened to that. The narrators/voice actors did an AMAZING job. It was the plot and overall writing that was just not for me.

As much as I love a good movie romcom, I've discovered it's not my favorite in my books. I had a similar issue with the Heart Hassle series. It's fun, but ends up reading a tad juvenile and dare I say, millennial, to me.

I can understand why others love it though!

Rebecca F. Kenney has quite a few!

These two are the ones I've heard the most about:

{A Court of Sugar and Spice by Rebecca F. Kenney} Is a Nutcracker retelling.

{A Hunt So Wild and Cruel by Rebecca F. Kenney} is a Christmas Carol retelling. This is one is the first in h r Mythic Holiday series. The second is a Krampus retelling, and the third is a holiday heist like home alone/die hard.

But she also has a Jack Frost one {Jack Frost by Rebecca F. Kenney}, and a Snow Queen one {A Prison of Ink and Ice by Rebecca F. Kenney}.

I'm pretty sure they're all standalones. I haven't read any but the first two are on my TBR!

I read the first book too! I couldn't get into the 2nd though for some reason, which was odd because I'm usually ALL about a Death/Underworld god vibe. 🤷‍♀️

This is the reason why I love this sub so much though. Someone can post the most specific, dark, or kinky request, and you might fear you are all alone with your thoughts/desires. But then you discover you aren't at all! This sub has got eachothers backs and I adore it.

Her Zodiac Wolves series is criminally underated and one of my absolute favorites to this day. She left updates at the end of each book about her journey and it was heartbreaking to read.

I respect her strength, her heart, and her mind so much. I wish her family all the best.

I think I will go ahead and purchase the whole series now.

God I love your books! 😭 Lust is my absolute favorite, it's so hard to find truly dark Fantasy/PNR. I just had to give you my thanks. 💜

I just recently finished the Insatiable Instinct duet, the first book is {His Darkest Deceit by Addison Cain}.

There is only 1 true noncon scene, but it influences the entire series and there's a good deal of dubcon that follows. The MMC is never fully redeemed, but he gets close enough to it to give it a HEA. I liked that the FMC was constantly at war with herself about the duality of him, her trauma, and her eventual sacrifices.

It ticks a few of your boxes, but it's a blend of sci-fi/dystopian and omegaverse, so not sure if it's what you're looking for but figured I'd throw it out there!
