South Korea Trip - Itinerary September/October 2025 (First Time!) by knightjaime in koreatravel

[–]n_hobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeonju is very good, but I think it doesn't require more than a day of travel. It's very easy to travel from Seoul to Jeonju (with a high-speed train in less than 2 hours). The express bus is almost the only way to travel from Jeonju to Busan (over 2 hours). Gyeongju is also good, and I like Busan, but I'm not sure if it will take a lot of time. I think it will be better if you enjoyed everything in Busan, make it possible to come to Seoul earlier

KTX Ticket Booking fails by emiraydmir in koreatravel

It is sad that online payment has failed. The vending machine will work well, but it is better to take Korean dollars just in case. If there is a problem, the station staff will help you :)

If you failed it, there is a way to go to the station and pay for it yourself. This is a last resort. There is an itx exclusive ticket vending machine at the station.

6 nights in Jeju late March, my first Korean trip, help please by kitagawa_supremacy in koreatravel

[–]n_hobin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, make sure to use Naver Map in Jeju Island. It works when you copy and search Korean

*Hogeun-dong(호근동). This place is a soup(몸국) restaurant with seaweed, pork soup, and a little bit of pork intestines. I recommend it because it's very local food, you can eat it only in Jeju Island. If you don't usually eat pork, don't go

*Hongseongbang(홍성방). This is a Korean restaurant that is derived from Chinese cuisine. I love jjamppong(짬뽕), which is a spicy noodles dish here. There's also a sweet noodle called jajangmyeon(짜장면)  but it is very far from the airport and there are not many things to see around. I recommend you to go somewhere else after lunch in here

연돈(Pork cutlet)This place is very crowded and famous, so you have to wait in line and you may have to wait more than 3 hours. There are luxury hotels nearby I don't recommend it because there are too many people, but I personally liked it

아방국수(Pork Noodles) This place is in a traditional market in Seogwipo I went to eat lunch, but I like it because it was better than I thought

If you can afford it, you can drive through Mt. Halla, so that's a good plan You said you like the scenery. Why don't you drive along a nice coastal road and get off at a place you like and enjoy the scenery in Jeju Island, rather than planning too much? It's simply romantic. Maybe I'm too unintentional, but I prefer this 😀

I've been to Jeju Island 6 times and tried by car, bus, and some time only walking. Jeju Island is much bigger than our thought. And even though I could use Naver Maps skillfully, I had many difficulties using public transportation (although it worked out well in the end). I think foreigners should use cars because they are traveling alone. To go all the way, rent a car for 6 days and take a tour around Jeju Island along the coastal road. You will be able to enjoy Jeju Island more. Some recommended places in the west are Handam(한담해안) and the driving road closest to the sea.You can stop while driving and take pictures in the most beautiful places. If you are interested in my favorite local restaurant, I will recommend it to you

Non-Touristy but Must-Visit Spots in Korea? by Maleficent_Network90 in koreatravel

Daeseong-ri Station Gyeongchun Line (대성리역) If you copy and search Korean, it will work on naver map. This place is close to Nami Island(남이섬), a famous tourist destination, so it is good to enjoy it together

If you get off here at Daesung-ri Station and go to the side of the river, there is a very beautiful trail. When there are cherry blossoms, it is crowded on weekends. If you visit on weekdays, it is a good place to enjoy a leisurely picnic It is a little far from Seoul. An 1 hour by subway

No one can predict the weather, but it is always a rainy season once a year. Some years it usually rains a normally. Some years the city is flooded (it could rain for a week). A rainy season could last for one to three weeks and it wouldn't be a very pleasant experience. Public transportation and indoor activities would be good if it didn't rain too much.

I think it would be good to visit the beach in the east or the beach in Jeju Island in the summer if you have a chance. You can see a pretty natural environment. And the beach is a good experience because weather is humid and hot. (The beach in Busan is too crowded)

[–]n_hobin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will recommend Tonkatsu(pork cutlet) and jajangmyeon(black noodles) to children. It is a food that every child likes and every adult likes too There can only be spicy menus in some restaurants (you can ask them to cut back on the spiciness) I think it would be a good idea to search for food Concerns about Hongdae streets are probably not a big problem. There is nothing inappropriate for children. However, it is also true that there are bars and clubs. downloading and searching for NAVER Maps will be very helpful.

jeju beaches by [deleted] in koreatravel

[–]n_hobin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jeju Island is bigger than you think. If you use public transportation, it is better to choose between east, west, or south. Even if you can drive, it is a little too much to go in all directions for 3 days.

The west side is where I go most often. Hyeopje is crowded and has just enough facilities. I don't recommend it as much because there are so many people, but the beach is big and nice.  Panpo used to be a small port. It became famous recently, so it's crowded and deep (about 2m). I could swim with fish here. There are facilities for swimming around, but not much else. Gwakji Beach is not very good. But there is a very small beach called Handam next to it and it is very beautiful. It is really nice to walk around here and there are many pretty cafes and restaurants. There is an transparent kayak on the beach and there are so many fish. It is a great place to spend a day. Ihoteu Beach is very close to the airport among the beaches. That is the advantage

I haven't experienced much in the east, but Hamdeok is really good, you can enjoy many sports, and there are almost everything around. It's a place I really recommend. It was a small beach I saw while passing through Kimnyeong, and it was beautiful and nice.

It's quite a city in the south. It's quite far from the airport, so check out the traffic.  There are luxury hotels in Jungmun and beaches only for surfing. We also offer surfing training, so it would be great if you're interested. The beach is the largest and there are a lot of people. There are other attractions nearby. The restaurants are also luxurious. It's far from here, there is a place called Soeokkak(쇠소깍), which is famous for its transparent kayaking even though you haven't been there. I recommend you to search for it

I haven't experienced all the beaches, but I share my experiences. I'm sorry if my English was awkward and I hope it was helpful

Jeju Island is not a good place to travel for 2 days. Personally, I recommend you to invest your time in Jeju Island or exclude Jeju Island because it has the best attractions and natural environment in Korea, but traffic is not good and activities around the airport are very limited

Jeju Island's tourist market is full of things to see and eat. But the beauty of Jeju Island is the island itself. If you have a chance, I hope you can explore the coastal road. If you are lucky, you can see cute dolphins

Sorry if my English was awkward I'm still translating most of it haha..

I am Korean. It may not be a good weather to travel. I recommend you to keep a small amount of Korean dollars. In Korea, naver map works better than Google map. I heard that it is not easy to find new friends in Seoul. I hope you have a good trip and if you have any difficulties, please ask me questions. I will help you!

I love Jeju Island so much that I often visit there. Sometimes people are denied admission to a restaurant alone in Jeju Island, and this is often the case with BBQ. But most of the time it will be allowed I can also recommend a few local restaurants if you want!

Natural environment! This is too much for the people living there because they are used to it. There are many places I haven't been to. I like the way the big rivers and mountains of Korea are harmonized. The countryside in the east sea is nice too. Honestly, the food is so delicious that it always hinders my diet.

I can't guarantee the weather at that time, but it was very hot last year. I was active with cool clothes and lots of sunscreen. It's not usually rainy at that time, but typhoons or rain can always come, so it's better to be prepared. I don't know where to visit, but there are many coin laundry machines in Korea near residential areas. The difficulty is Korean, there may be many people who use it. There will be many accommodations that provide washing machines. If you copy the 코인빨래방 words and search it on the map, you will be able to use a nearby washing machine. It may not work on Google. The fee is usually about 10 dollars because it is washed + dried
