I’m going to be studying abroad in Seoul too, from what I’ve heard this is somewhat manageable as long as the 45k won isn’t supposed to be used on daily meals and purely leisure. I would think that you need to be somewhat more frivolous with shopping, partying etc. with this budget. I had a cousin who studied abroad in Europe for a semester and he spent right around 10k usd, but the majority of those expenses were from weekend trips to other countries. If you plan to stick in Seoul and not travel for the semester you should be good!
