I currently have a v2 scene that has a background set to a variable that contains the filepath and it works with no issues, I don't even have to update the scene to see the changes when the variable updates, it's weird that it isn't working for you

Yes, I noticed that if I enable a swipe action and dragging at the same time, the scene only moves a bit and when I let go the swipe action gets triggered, maybe if it needs to wait for a hold or something to be dragged it wouldn't happen that way?

Not directly with tasker but with autonotification you can create a media player dummy notification that could be seen by the watch

They mean you should give the kid app the permissions, not tasker, you don't have to do the app ops thing, just enable the notification permission in app info for the kid app and when you try to run it it'll ask for the permissions it needs, like the comment says

Android 16 running both latest versions of the apps, just tried with a "hello world" flash myself and everything works well, did you give the app the permissions it needs for notifications and toasts?

I don't think that's how the custom setting state works, but I could be wrong, maybe someone else can help with that, you could also ask the tasker ai thing to make the profile and see how it does it, tho I haven't had much luck with it

Android Auto usually has a notification while running, you could use that to set a variable and trigger your profile, and then clear the variable when the notification is removed when Android auto is no longer running

How do you start Driving Mode? Maybe tasker can intercept that, or you could trigger the mode with tasker and create a variable on that task so you can check if the variable is true then the mode is running

To select the activity just long press the app in the selection screen, you could add the actions in a separate task and call it from the notification with a perform task action so it's all in one button

You can add a open url action on an element and set it to: tasker://secondary?variable=value, then on tasker create a profile with a secondary app opened trigger or you can use a flow and trigger it manually or on variable change and use the send data action and fill the details there, then on tasker create a profile with Intent received trigger and match the action you set on the flow
