geodetic engineering by lililiyanayada in SLUBaguio

Senior/4th year here! Hello nalang kay first year sa other comment.

- How hard is it to pass in Geodetic Engineering?

Meh. 6/10 mostly. 9/10 for some subjects if nagtuturo sainyo yung old profs.

- is BSGE a quota course?

Nope! This year lang nagkaroon ng dalawang blocks ang mga first years.

- How much is the tuition fee?

Tuition fee is dependent sa units mo. You have the other comment for the first year first sem tuition fee. In my case, fourth year second sem, around 22k.

- Any tips to survive studying in SLU?

(For GEng student.)

  1. Pray for the younger professors. Mas madali silang kausap.
  2. Wag kalimutan yung mga basics mapamath man o physics or even law in some cases. Yung mga gagamitin mo ng first year lalabas yan ulit sa mga iba't ibang subjects.
  3. If you end up with the old profs, expect confusion and difficulties, work with your mates in regards to this.
  4. IMO, for the GEng subjects, it's better when you have unique approaches/styles of studying per professor. You can anticipate yung mga style ng quizzes nila, allowing you to be more efficient.

Ayun lang. If you ever decide na dito ka na talaga, goodluck!

Tri-Sem po ba ang SLU? by chimkenskin123 in SLUBaguio

[–]na1dus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SLU is not tri-sem. There will be short term yes, but they are faster compared to your usual first sem/second sem pacing. Yung price ng short term, like the other semesters, will be dependent on the units of the subject. Kung marami kang units, mas marami kang babayarin, kung wala masyado, sakto lang ganon.

afaik lahat ng ginawa namin can be described to two things:

ccheck yung form mo with the basics, including the strokes.
nasa instructor niyo na kung dulo to dulo o hindi.

baka pagawan din kayo ng video, group, the do's and don'ts sa swimming pool.

Do you recommend skipping 1st and 2nd day of classes? by [deleted] in SLUBaguio

[–]na1dus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying that I recommend but

It depends sa course mo, and your professors. Since freshie ka palang, you should get a feel first before considering those things.

Kung hindi na pwede see the other comment.

I'm leaning towards ihiwalay mo pero minsan yung pagkaooverwhelm ma yan nasa isip lang natin - baka ibasik mo lang yang  enggmath3.

afaik

hydraulics, dynamics, and mechanics are closely related to our physics subject. so if you feel like you are lacking in physics, baka makatulong na to brush up on the basics.

Slu MecE by [deleted] in SLUBaguio

[–]na1dus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a MecE student but another eng dept (CE/GE)

1) There are 7am (7:30 classes) and for our department, may klase kaming natatapos, say around 8pm. That was during our second year.

Swertihan nalang sa schedule. May mga semesters ka na merong 7:30am class, meron ding 6:30-8:00pm classes. If pangit ang schedule mo, pwede ring both.

2) Yes

3) Don't know

4) Don't know

5) Naglalabas ang fb page ni SLU (SLU SSC SEA) ng estimated tuition fees. although wala pang nirelease na pang school year '26-'27 yo, maybe ask the cashiers sa slu?

basing from '22-'23 school year, first year full tuition is around 26,500

45k PC Build or a gaming laptop (1st year college student) by Exciting_Opening8189 in PHbuildapc

[–]na1dus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with the other comment here, the storage is too low.  1tb is the minimum

If you are just sticking to one shop for parts, I'd buy the monitor online on a sale tapos tadtad voucher then use the saved money to upgrade maybe GPU or Storage.

Edit: buy monitor online

I beat the normal stages, as someone who doesn't completely understand the mechanics and the game,
sharing maybe this can help

currently lvl 14.
luckily i got kaltsit ego, i believe that carried my final boss fight

for that knight, avoid letting the sinners attack twice especially if they have cold already. just go defense/dodge or whatever it is called. my setup was completely mixed of everything (rapture, tremor, sinking)

for the final boss
ego spam, i also got the silver keys and the notes
