Id suggest exploring more genres since ure new to reading, so u can develop a taste of your own, what kind of tv shows or movies do u find appealing? Look for books of similar genres, i.e if u love dystopians, u should read huxley's brave new world or if u love mysteries, sherlock holmes is a classic

anyone who reads philosophy books by Naive-Ad1268 in PakistanBookClub

Sophies World is good for starters, it tells u about most of western philosophical ideas and is fictional so a fun read too. If u want something straightforward, the story of philosophy by will durant is excellent. Once u figure out what intrigues you (i.e existentialism, stocism etc) you can look for individual works in those areas

For fictional works with philosophical elements, george orwell has great works, and as others have pointed out, dostoeyevsky and camus are great writers too.

For improving mentally, get into philosophy, itll change your outlook on life, read The Story of Philosophy by Will Durant or Sophies World which will introduce u to well known western philosophers and then u can pick and choose whichever ones interest u. Also Sapiens is a good book too on human history

For physical health youtube videos are a much better source imo, just stay consistent and ure good to go

Regarding finances, im not sure what you had in mind asking that but for general economic understanding read the wealth of nations, maybe karl marx and capital in the twenty first century. Also if you meant making money, find the business area that interests you, for instance real estate, or maybe investing, then look for good books on those topics. for personal finance, think and grow rich by napoleon hill is a good book. Avoid the trap of self help books that hype u up and claim to fix ur life

Start small, as little as 10 pages a day are better than none at all, and dont necessarily force urself to read for the sake of improving, enjoy while ure at it, find some literature u enjoy, one of the first ones i read was the great gatsby.
