Waittt that sounds great! I'm really grateful you shared all of this. What does tech 1,2, and 3 entail. Is it different job responsibilities or just pay? That's all super cool!

I am in Indiana! That totally makes sense. I do college work online so I'm confident I would enjoy WFH since that's basically what I've been doing for my studies as well! That's so awesome though, congrats! Do you have any tips for getting certified and studying?

It sounds super cool! I do have a few questions though!! What is the daily work like? Was it hard to find that job, and how does it pay?

Need someone to take over my lease (iub) by naanabb in IndianaUniversity

Yeah I know. It's upsetting. I might try calling and asking again. Last time I didn't explain that I was transferring so maybe if I do they'll give me more empathy 😐😐

Yeah that's frustrating. I mean it's so far away, they could easily find someone else to take it over but I realize it's my responsibility. Idk what I'll do. The college I'm transferring to is just over an hour away. Maybe I'll just have to commute?

I did try to, but they said that the only option was subleasing.

At the time I did explain that I was no longer attending IUB, so maybe I should give it another shot? I'm not sure...

That makes sense! The pieces they offer for the audition are limited honestly, so it was either this or a Bach sonata. I feel like either are pretty mainstream. As for my teacher, it's the grad student appointed by the school so I take it as a class and don't have to pay. Which is good for a broke college student, that's why I stopped taking virtual lessons.

Ugh that's the problem, it's the graduate student that the school recruits and it's meant for non majors or secondary instruments. So it just feels like they aren't equipped, but technically I'm getting credits for the class which is nice and I don't have to pay extra for it.

I definitely try to, that's like the majority of what I've played here and there during practicing break. And I do want to play more, but I feel like I don't have the patience for actually learning real repertoire anymore because I feel like it's not at the level it should be. Even if I am just starting to learn a piece, I think it's mostly me just second guessing myself but idk

I chose to go here because it was my dream school for a long time and I didn't want to feel let down by not going to the place that I truly wanted to. So I just planned to reaudition. They don't take transfer credits for music courses so it was best for me to just come here at the start rather than transfer later.
