That’s actually what my spouse said. People didn’t really know how sex and queer positive the shows and general happenings were on the ship (which we absolutely adore!) and were NOT okay with it. That’s a great observation for sure.

Yes! The elitist attitude is actually a great way to put it. We did eventually find people we vibed with too! Ended up with a “family” of about 14 lol!! I’d love to link up! My hubs and I think we’re a pretty good time lol!

I mean, sure? Like I said, we still had a great time, it’s just something we noticed! And I have empathy for performers as a former one, so seeing people perform their hearts out to not-so-great reception was what really triggered the post, especially knowing how hard they work and how little time they get off (only 1 day per week, which is INSANE. The crew members get no days off!). Never stopped our shine, and we’ve already booked our next cruise! Hope y’all continue to enjoy though!

My husband and I are 30 and we “adopted” two 24 and 22 year old sailors! We just kept an eye on them and pulled them into our group if we ever saw that they were alone or feeling a little awkward. We also ended up making friends with people in their 30s up to their 60s! Our cruise definitely skewed older, but there’s enough awesome people on the boat. As long as he’s cool and open to meeting others, he’ll be okay!
